The Middle School Programme caters to the growing capacity of students to learn and explore. It enables and prepares students for senior School and scaffolds skills, knowledge and techniques that will serve them well during their senior years when they have to make subject and career choices.

  • Applies structured teaching and learning strategies to identify the learning gaps in Primary School and address them accordingly.
  • Students are guided to apply knowledge, and focus on competencies and skills and not merely on the content. Nurturing reasoning and analytical skills is the main focus in Middle School.
  • The programme follows educational objectives of CBSE to provide a sound base for students in Secondary Section.
  • Extracurricular activities involving inter-house competitions like role play, debate, extempore, declamation, quizzes, singing, and music. Art & craft and Sports are seamlessly integrated in the curriculum to nurture students to their fullest potential.
  • Class VIII students appear for DAV Board Exams that prepare them for board exams in the Secondary section. Students are encouraged to take help of standard reference books available in the library.
  • Digital knowledge is given importance and students are encouraged to take part in Tech Fest conducted every year by the IT department of the School. Students learn animation, coding, graphic designing, tweeting, gaming, blogging, painting and movie making which help them acquire the necessary IT skills.
  • Field trips and excursions are an integral part of the curriculum and provide opportunities for personal and social development.
  • Ready access to multimedia through digital smart boards in each class has made learning interactive, engaging and simple.
