Gujarat STEM Quiz 3.0

The Gujarat STEM-Quiz is a unique activity that combines education, fun and competition and has been designed to inculcate informal science learning. Sidh Porwal, now in class X, brought laurels to the school by reaching to the semi-finals of this prestigious Gujarat STEM Quiz 3.0. He was chosen among the Top 120 students nationwide (excluding Gujarat) and he proudly represented Maharashtra in the national finals. His stellar performance earned him a telescope, a DIY drone kit, and a merit certificate, celebrating his curiosity, dedication, and passion for STEM.

We are delighted to celebrate the success of Hridhaan Ganguly and Sharayu Patil of Class X-B, whose essays on INDIA: MY HEART, MY HOME stood out among over 2,000 entries in the Drishti Essay Writing Competition 2024.

Organised by Reliance Foundation to promote creativity and raise awareness about eye donation, the competition encourages children of Reliance employees to express their thoughts through art and writing. Hridhaan and Sharayu’s essays beautifully reflected India’s cultural pride while spreading a vital message of care and compassion.

Dr Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition is conducted by Greater Bombay Science Teachers' Association since 1981. This unique four stage competition aims at arousing curiosity, problem solving attitude along with development of precision in observational and motor skills in young scientists.

We are delighted to share that Kanav Sharma of Class VI has been awarded the Silver Medal in this prestigious Dr Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition. This remarkable achievement is a testament to his scientific curiosity, hard work, and determination.

A special note of appreciation also goes to his dedicated mentor, Ms Mercy Samuel, whose constant guidance, and encouragement played a crucial role in this success.

National-Level Jury committee Selection – NCERT PRAYAAS 2024-25

We are delighted to share that two of our students, Namisha Dalvi (Class IX) and Atharva Manekar (Class XI Science), have been selected by the  Final Jury committee at the National level under the NCERT PRAYAAS Department of Education in Science and Mathematics 2024-25 scheme.

Competing in the Rural Private category, they emerged as winners with their project on Half-Feed Combine Harvester: Performance and Design Improvement. Their innovative approach and scientific inquiry have earned them this prestigious recognition, bringing great pride to our institution.

It gives us immense pleasure and pride to announce that one of our class X students Devang Dalvi bagged Third position in Annual Contest on Glass Decorates organized by All India Glass Manufacturers’ Federation (AIGMF) at Delhi to commemorate International Youth Day. Achievement in Under-7 Chess Tournament

The school is delighted to announce the remarkable achievement of our UKG student, Vihaan Vaidya, at the Under-7 Chess Tournament organized by the Rotary Club of Karjat on September 1, 2024.

Competing against a field of 100 talented young chess players from across Raigad district, Vihaan's exceptional skills and determination shone through. In his age group alone, he faced tough competition from 16 other participants.

Despite this, Vihaan displayed remarkable composure and strategic thinking, winning three consecutive rounds out of four. His impressive performance secured him a well-deserved second-place finish in his maiden tournament.

This achievement is a testament to Vihaan's dedication, hard work, and unwavering passion for the game of chess.

Ridhaa, along with her talented teammates, engaged in the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) that took place on July 13th, 2024. The competition spanned three rounds, and despite encountering a setback in the second round, Ridhaa's team emerged victorious in the first and third rounds. The 13th training session of the pilot program, organized by CIET NCERT

The 13th training session of the pilot program, organized by CIET NCERT in collaboration with Adobe India, focused on integrating technology and creativity in teaching vocational subjects using Adobe Express AI features.

Prashik Tayade, a graphic design expert from Reliance Foundation School Lodhivali English Medium, conducted the session, explaining the basics of graphic design and demonstrating the use of Adobe Express AI features such as text-to-image generation and the Brand feature.

The interactive session received positive feedback from participating teachers, who appreciated the integration of technology and creativity in vocational education.

Prashik plans to share his learnings with colleagues and students, fostering a more creative and technologically advanced approach to teaching vocational subjects. This training session is part of a series aimed at making the teaching and learning process easier and more conducive.

He expressed gratitude to the RFSAC leadership team, RF school leadership, CIET NCERT, Adobe India, and Adobe for their support and the opportunity to contribute to educational advancements.

Science Fiction Competition 2023

RFSL-EM proudly celebrates the achievement of G. Srivani of Class X, whose science fiction has been selected for publishing in the July edition of Science Reporter. She participated in the Science Fiction Competition 2023 organized by Science Reporter– a monthly Science magazine published by the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, to unlock creativity among young aspiring students. Along with the winning entries, her story Fates Intertwined has been appreciated and found worth publishing by the magazine.

The story Fates Intertwined is about Zaraq, a Xyloth from Xylothia, who observes Earth's contradictions: its beauty marred by human destruction and hope. Disguised as a squirrel, he befriends Sarah, an environmentalist who dreams of harmony between humans and nature. Revealing his true form, Zaraq learns about human complexity and potential for change. He returns home, hopeful that humanity will choose to protect their precious planet.

We are super excited to share that students of Reliance Foundation School Lodhivali (English Medium) have brought glory to their institution once again with a stellar performance in JEE (ADVANCED) 2024. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has announced the result of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 on, June 9, 2024.

Rising to the occasion Yalamarty Hamsini, Kshitij Paranjape, Vijit Deogade and Siddharth Tiwari have brought laurels to the school by qualifying for the same.

Leading the charge, Yalamarthy Hamsini secured the top honour in the school with an impressive rank of 7392 whereas Kshitij Paranjape secured with an impressive rank of 7837 and Siddharth Tiwari secured rank of 24525. Another notable performer is Vijit Deogade with a rank of 2726 (Category).

This is in continuation of the School’s excellent and outstanding CBSE Board performance in Grades 10 and 12 in the CBSE-2024 Examination.

Gurukul Olympics : an inter-school tournament for boys 2023

The aspiring sportsmen of RFSLEM emerged victorious in GO2023 - Gurukul Olympics: an inter-school tournament for boys held at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Navi Mumbai from 7th to 9th December 2023. The students showcased exceptional talent, commitment and perseverance and converted them into winning strokes as they competed with other 10 schools in 12 sporting events and secured third position among the champions.

National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test 2023

The National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) organized by The National Anveshika Network of India (NANI), a unit of Indian Association of Physics Teachers, in association with Shiksha, is an annual competition in India that focuses on assessing and nurturing students' observational, analytical, and experimental skills in physics.

The Junior category is for students from grades 9 to 12. It's a matter of pride that, our student Aishni Srivastava of grade 10 secured THIRD position in Prelims (regional) round. She is also awarded with cash prize.

Inter School RFSKK Model United Nations Conference - 2023

RFSKK had organized 3rd Inter School RFSKK Model United Nations Conference-2023 on 6th & 7th October 2023. Twelve students had participated as delegates of various countries on the four committees namely, World Health Organization, UN Human Rights Commission, UN Security Council, UN Historical Crisis Committee. All the delegates took active part in the simulation activity and dealt tactfully global crisis, health issues, security issues, human right violations and had put forth possible resolutions. Students performed exceptionally well and two students received recognition for their outstanding contribution.

Sukhada Hore was adjudged outstanding Delegate She represented our school as a delegate of Bulgaria in World Health Organization, UN. Throughout the MUN conference, she exhibited remarkable diplomatic skills, extensive knowledge and a very keen ability to articulate her ideas. Her persuasive speeches and collaborative approach were highly commendable and contributed significantly to the committee’s success.

Sakina Passwala was awarded with Verbal Mention- She represented the school as a delegate of UK in the Security Council, UN. She demonstrated a strong grasp of the issues under discussion. Her commitment to finding practical solutions and teamwork greatly impressed the chairs and teacher judges.

Design Championship 2023

School is proud to announce the digital prowess of its students in the world of technology. Design Championship Competition 2023 empowered the students with digital, life and design skills that are essential to thrive in the future workplace.

The students from class 3 to 11 participated in Design Championship 2023 to showcase their creativity and talent in App Design, Game Design, Graphic Design, 3D Design, Coding, Web Design and Movie Making. 13 teams of 27 students from the school were selected who exhibited their talent in front of the jury members online.

Ananya Bopardikar of Class 5 won the All India Finals in Coding in Junior Category.

Our young budding singers participated in Patriotic Group Song Singing Competition held at HOCL School, Rasayani on 26th August 2023 and successfully bagged the third prize. 6 vocalists of Std. VII with two accompanists on flute and Harmonium, under the able guidance of Mr Mandar Tandel, presented the musical rendition - Ae Mere Watan, Ae Mere Watan...Mera Tujhe Salam, a tribute to our Kargil Heroes that left an everlasting impression on the minds of the audience.

It is with great ecstasy that the school announces the felicitous achievement of Sukhada Hore, a student of class XI-Science in the prestigious Mumbai Speech and Debate League-2023. This league, consisting of The Indian Debating League, IIT Bombay Debating Society and Burlington English, provides zealous students a platform to showcase their talent and skill in public speaking and debates.

Sukhada Hore participated in the highly challenging Turncoat format where participants are required to switch their stance and present arguments on both sides of the motion. Competing with many adept competitors through three rounds, Sukhada not only displayed her exceptional debating skills but also secured the Bronze Medal in the Senior Category. Additionally, she was also awarded the Best Speaker Award, a testament to her outstanding oratory skills, logical reasoning, and ability to engage the audience.

Minecraft Monthly Build Challenge - April 2023

The school is highly elated to announce that our group of students from class 8 bagged the THIRD rank among the selective FIVE rankers on NATIONAL LEVEL in Minecraft Education Monthly Challenge 2023 thrown for the month of April for the beginner level. Microsoft Minecraft Education organizes monthly challenges for students. Our students from class 3 to 10 in groups of 4 submitted their projects under various topics such as Forest, Farm, Transport etc. through Microsoft Education app using school ID accepting the Minecraft Build challenge April 2023 session. Microsoft Minecraft Education selected 5 national finalists and 2 regional finalists.

The participants of the winning group were Dhruv Vishal Raut, Abhiraj Kailas Patil, Sushriya Devendra Mahindrakar, and Udyam Kashyap all from grade VIII. They selected 'Farm' as their subject and submitted their project under the title Lunatic Force.

The students were guided by Dhanya T. N., Prashik Tayade and Neeta Panhale who used training modules to prepare the students for the projects.

RFS Inter-school Athletic Championship

The school is elated to announce the marvellous achievement of Tanmay Patil from class IX in RFS Inter-school Athletic Championship held for U/14 Girls and Boys on 3rd and 4th April 2023 at KDARFS, Jamnagar. 140 students from 11 Reliance Foundation Schools participated in the maiden athletic event. 6 boys and 6 girls of RFSLEM participated in the events 100m, 200m, 400m Running, 4 x 100m Relay, Shotput and Discus Throw. Tanmay Patil bagged Gold Medals in Shotput Throw as well as in Discus Throw with a record-making and remarkably longer throws with 11.04 m in shotput and 33.24 m in discuss.

We share with utmost pride and joy that our students brought laurels and accolades to the school by achieving prestigious positions in International Inter School Contest 2023 conducted by ACT Universal UAE and India on online mode held on 26th January, 2023 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Agastya Kanitkar of IVB won the First Prize in Hindi Poetry Recitation. He recited मेरे सपनो का भारत, the poem depicts dreams about the promising future of India.

Ananya Gautam of IIIA won the Consolation Prize in Hindi Poetry Recitation. She recited the poem मेरा राज्य मेरा हीरो, in which she glorified the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Khushi Sachin Hajare, child artiste studying in class V made the school proud by giving an astounding performance in the Marathi movie Ved starring Riteish Deshmukh. In the movie she has played the role of a young budding cricketer. Her acting prowess in the movie was very well appreciated. She has acted in number of movies including Aapdi Thaapdi, Manto, Sarbjit to name a few. It gives immense pride to feature this young genius.
