World Art Day was celebrated on 16 April 2025 by the Art and Craft Department, led by Mr Bharat Pardeshi and Mr Yogidas Thorat. The event aimed to promote creativity and appreciation for visual art. Students from Grades I to VIII attended a PowerPoint presentation on renowned artists and their work. The session introduced them to different styles, techniques, and the role of art in everyday life.
An art exhibition was held in the Prayer Hall, featuring student artwork in various styles such as Madhubani, Warli, Doodle, Landscape, Portrait, Modern Art, 2D Design, Abstract Art, and Print Making. The display reflected the students’ creativity and effort and was well appreciated by all. The event encouraged self-expression and helped students understand the richness of artistic traditions.
Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti was observed on 15 April 2025 at the Civic Centre with great respect and enthusiasm. The event honoured the life and legacy of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, a key architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice. Students from Grade VII and above participated actively in the programme. The event began with a floral tribute to Dr Ambedkar, followed by a brief introduction highlighting his contribution to society. The program began with a musical performance followed by a small dance recital. Several students delivered speeches that reflected on his work in the fields of law, education, and social reform. Skits were presented to depict key moments from Dr Ambedkar’s life, including his fight against social discrimination and his role in drafting the Constitution. The event aimed to instil in students a deeper respect for equality, justice, and education, which were central to Dr Ambedkar’s vision.
The first day of school for LKG students was celebrated with warmth and excitement on 7 April 2025. The atmosphere was cheerful as teachers welcomed the young learners with smiles and warm greetings. The aim was to make the children feel safe, happy, and comfortable in their new environment. To begin the day, students of the UKG class greeted the new learners with a traditional welcome drink of kokam sarbat. This thoughtful gesture helped set a friendly tone. Teachers engaged the children in various fun-filled activities, including action songs, storytelling, and circle time games. Soft background music played in the classrooms helped maintain a calm and inviting atmosphere. The event successfully marked the beginning of the students’ learning journey, full of curiosity and joy.
The Annual Professional Development Programme for the academic year 2025–26 at RFSLMM was inaugurated on 25 March 2025 by Mr S. Rangarajan, Site President, PMD. The inauguration marked the formal beginning of the new academic year. The programme featured expert-led workshops, interactive discussions, and collaborative tasks that helped educators reflect on their classroom approaches. Topics covered included learner-centred teaching, effective assessment methods, classroom management strategies, and the integration of technology in daily lessons.
Trainers guided teachers through model lessons, group activities, and hands-on tasks. These sessions allowed teachers to share ideas, learn from one another, and explore new approaches to problem-solving in the classroom. The focus remained on practical, sustainable methods that could be applied across subjects and grade levels. The Annual Professional Development Programme remains a key part of RFSLMM’s efforts to build a dynamic and informed teaching community.
The National Science Day programme was held on 28 February 2025. It was organised by Class 9 under the guidance of Science teacher Ms Vaishnavi Modak. The event began with a welcome and introduction by Madhura Vichare and Shrisha Potphode. Kavyesh Khot and Yug Mahtre presented information on C.V. Raman. A skit on science versus superstition was performed by Class 9 students, directed by Shrisha, Vedant and Pranav. Sankruti Rathod and Pradnya Pawar demonstrated a model of aquaponics. Ananya Pachpute and Swara Adsul from Class 6 delivered speeches on the importance of science and its usefulness in daily life. Class 7 students performed a skit on health-related issues. Coordinator Kanchan Sorte performed the Saraswati Pujan and gave a speech summarising the event. She also provided the concluding remarks. The programme was well-received and promoted scientific awareness. The enthusiasm and active participation of the students contributed to the success of the event. The event encouraged scientific thinking and highlighted the significance of science in everyday life.
To mark the transition of students from the pre-primary section to primary school and to instil confidence and a sense of achievement, a graduation ceremony was organised for the UKG class on 15 March 2025. The young graduates, dressed in vibrant gowns and caps, confidently walked onto the stage to receive their certificates, symbolising the successful completion of their pre-primary phase. Their bright smiles and enthusiastic expressions reflected their excitement and pride. Principal Aatish Kshirsagar and Coordinator Ms. Chetana Vanage congratulated the young learners and commended their hard work and dedication. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of teachers and staff in nurturing the students throughout their formative years. A group photo session was conducted to capture these precious moments, leaving everyone with cherished memories of the day. The ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the students but also encouraged them to embrace their future learning journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) 2025 was celebrated on 11th February 2025 at the Civic Centre, Reliance Foundation School, Lodhivali Marathi Medium, from 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The event aimed to foster gender equality in science and commemorate the United Nations' International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The programme began with Sarasvati Poojan, led by Dr. Suhas Sabnis, Vice Principal, along with Ms. Kanchan Soarte and Ms. Chetana Vanage. Class 8 students performed Vigyan Geet (Science Song), followed by student presentations—Smit Sonawane (Class 11) on Chandrayaan and Ms. Shreya Kadam (Class 8) on Organic Farming.
A quiz competition featured Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Kites Houses, with Eagles House emerging as the winner. Dr. Suhas Sabnis commended the efforts of all participants, organisers, and anchors. Special appreciation was given to Ritesh Anandhe and Atharva Mokal (of Class XI Science) for designing the quiz slides, and to Nihal Singh and Chaitra Shetty for anchoring. The event concluded with a group photo session, capturing the memorable moments.
The Achievers Day was celebrated at Reliance Foundation School, Lodhivali Marathi Medium with great enthusiasm. The event was held at the civic centre in the school. Students who participated in the Annual Day Programme – Navras were felicitated for their efforts. They were awarded certificates for their participation. Principal Mr Atish Kshirsagar recapped the highlights of Navras and appreciated the performances of every class. He acknowledged the contributions of students from LKG to Class 11 of Science and Commerce. He also recognised the efforts of non-participants who volunteered for the event. These students demonstrated excellent coordination and teamwork skills. Teachers who guided and supported the event were also felicitated. Their dedication and hard work played a key role in ensuring the success of Navras. The event created a positive atmosphere, celebrating the achievements by appreciating the efforts of everyone involved. The certificates awarded motivated the students and volunteers to continue participating actively in future events. Achievers Day highlighted the spirit of participation and teamwork. The event ended on a high note, leaving everyone inspired.
The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with pride, unity, and respect for the Constitution at Reliance Foundation School, Lodhivali Marathi Medium. Shree S. Rangarajan, the Chief Guest, unfurled the Indian Tricolour, followed by the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotism.
The celebration featured a parade, patriotic songs, speeches, a high-energy drill, and vibrant cultural performances, reinforcing national pride and unity.
A special highlight was the K9 Dog Show, the first of its kind at RFSL. The dogs showcased agility, discipline, and remarkable skills through trials and obstacle courses, leaving the audience in awe.
The school's Annual Day – Navras was celebrated enthusiastically on 18 January 2025. The event featured 14 dance performances demonstrating nine human emotions (Navras), a skit, and a musical presentation.
Hon Shri Sundararajan Rangarajan, Plant President RIL PMD and SMC Chairman RFSLMM, attended as the chief guest. Dr Bibhuti Biswal, Mr Sachin Sharma, RFSAC academic leads, and other RIL Patalganga delegates also graced the occasion.
The Mini Olympics was held from 16 to 18 December 2024 at Reliance Foundation School, Lodhivali, in which 654 students from Classes 3 to 12 participated in Olympic-themed events.
RIL President Mr Ragarajan inaugurated the event, which featured a torch parade, oath-taking ceremony, and Competitions in volleyball, badminton, cricket, kabaddi, and athletics. Students competed in four houses—Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Kites. Artistic activities like mural painting and multi-sport stations promoted Olympic values of excellence, respect, and friendship.
On 12 December 2024, 20 students from Classes 8, 9, and 11 visited the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2024 exhibition at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC)
The exhibition showcased stunning international wildlife photography and highlighted the importance of conservation. Guided by Mr Sacchin Sharma, students explored various art techniques. Ms Astha led a campus tour, introducing them to NMACC’s advanced theatres and facilities. The visit deepened their appreciation of wildlife preservation, photography, and cultural infrastructure.
RFSL EM and MM collaboratively hosted a Career and University Fair on 16 November 2024 for students of Classes 8 to 12. The event brought together students, parents, teachers, and representatives from 33 universities. Schools such as RFS Nagothane, RFS Koparkhairne, Gurukul International, and St Pallotti participated. Students attended sessions on transitioning to university, careers in AI, and entrepreneurship. They explored booths of 24 Indian and 9 international universities, gaining insights into academic and career pathways. The fair highlighted the school’s commitment to guiding students towards informed career decisions.
Reliance Foundation School Lodhivali (Marathi Medium) hosted Explorafest: The Magic of Mathematics and Science on 25 October 2024. Principal Mr Aatish Kshirsagar inaugurated the event. Students from Classes 1 to 9 presented 94 projects, demonstrating real-world applications of Mathematics and Science. Over 400 parents attended, witnessing innovative models and live demonstrations. A live projector display highlighted student achievements, making the event a memorable experience.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at RFSLMM on 31 August 2024. Students from Class 12 (Science and Commerce) took over school duties for Classes 1 to 11, allowing teachers to relax. The day featured cultural performances, games, and activities to entertain and honour the teachers. The celebration highlighted the students’ appreciation for their mentors and their invaluable contributions.
The school celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm on 15 August 2024. The event began with the flag hoisting by Plant President Mr Rangarajan. This was followed by a song performance by 15 students from Classes 8 to 12. The celebration highlighted national pride and unity.
On 9th August 2024, RFSLMM upheld its tradition of leadership and responsibility with the Investiture Ceremony at the Civic Centre. The event marked the official induction of the newly elected Student Council. The outgoing council marched in to drumbeats, ceremoniously passing the baton to the new leaders. With flags in hand, the newly appointed members took their oaths, affirming their commitment. Badges and sashes were handed over, symbolising trust and responsibility. The outgoing Head Boy and Head Girl shared their experiences, offering guidance to their successors, who in turn expressed their vision for the school. The ceremony, marked by discipline and enthusiasm, reflected the school’s dedication to fostering leadership and community values.
On July 20, 2024, seventy-five Class XII students participated in the informative Career and University Fair 2024 at RFS Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai—the fair featured 50+ universities from India and abroad, providing comprehensive insights into higher education opportunities. Students interacted with university representatives, explored diverse courses and gained valuable knowledge about application procedures and scholarship possibilities. This event empowered students to make informed choices regarding their academic paths.
The marathon transcends mere race distance; it stands as a legendary challenge that pushes the boundaries of human endurance and spirit. Recognized globally, marathons captivate audiences worldwide. At the annual event, 122 students from RFSLMM participated with unwavering enthusiasm, embracing the inspiring tagline ‘Let’s Move India.’ Their dedication spread Olympic inspiration, emphasizing physical fitness among students and the community. Junior and senior participants alike showcased exceptional spirit and sportsmanship, infusing the event with infectious energy and palpable competition. The event concluded with the announcement of results in each category.
Ashadi Ekadashi celebration was celebrated with zeal and spiritual spirit. Children dressed in the traditional attire of Warkaris sang various devotional songs and bhajans, creating a spiritual and festive atmosphere. A palkhi (palanquin) procession was conducted within the school grounds. Students participated enthusiastically, carrying the palkhi with an idol, emulating the traditional Ashadi Ekadashi processions. Along the procession, students performed traditional dances, showcasing their talents and the cultural heritage.
International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2024 at RFSLMM, with students from Classes 10 and 12 actively participating. The event promoted health and wellness through the theme Yoga for Everyone, encouraging the entire school community to embrace yoga as a global movement for well-being.
Two Parent orientation sessions for the parents of classes 1st to 12th were organised by the school on 6th and 7th June. Parents were oriented for the upcoming academic session by all the teachers and leadership of the school.

The Teachers' Day celebration organized by the grade XII students was a resounding success, encapsulating the spirit of gratitude, respect, and admiration towards our teachers. Through heartfelt performances, sincere acknowledgements, and personalized gestures, the students conveyed their appreciation for the invaluable role played by their teachers in shaping their lives. This event served as a poignant reminder of the profound impact teachers have on their students and the importance of recognizing and honouring their dedication and hard work.
The Career and Admission Fair conducted by RFSKK served as a dynamic platform for individuals to explore educational opportunities, discover career pathways, and connect with representatives from educational institutions and industry professionals. The event not only provided valuable information and guidance but it also inspired and empowered participants to pursue their academic and professional goals with enthusiasm and determination.
The debate and speech competition proved to be a resounding success, fostering intellectual discourse and cultivating a culture of effective communication and critical thinking. The event not only showcased the participants' talents but also served as a platform for meaningful engagement and exchange of ideas.
As we reflect on the enriching experiences shared during the competition, we look forward to future endeavours that continue to celebrate the power of words and the art of persuasion.
Leadership encompasses the ability of an individual to lead, influence, and guide others.
With the motto of instilling this quality, the school's student council was elected through an electronic voting process carried out on Tuesday, 8th August 23, at the school computer lab. The elected members’ investiture ceremony was conducted on Monday, 21st August 23, at the School Civic Centre.
District Sports Officer Mr Ravindra Naik was the chief guest of the event. He presented the badges and sashes to the members, congratulated the new school council, and motivated the students with his speech.
Art speaks when words fail. This thought was passionately displayed on the 76th Independence Day through an art exhibition organized in the school.
The Chief Guest, Mr Ashu Garg, Chairman of the School Management Committee, inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the lamp. Drawings were displayed in the school lobby. The Chief Guest, Mr Ashu Garg, and Mrs Garg appreciated all the displayed artworks and encouraged the art teachers to continue their great work.
The artwork was displayed for two days in the lobby, allowing all the students of the school to observe and admire it.
With every citizen celebrating their freedom in mind, soul, and body, Reliance Foundation School, Lodhivali (Marathi Medium), celebrated Independence Day with great pride and zeal.
The Chief Guest, Mr Ashu Garg, Chairman of the School Management Committee, hoisted the flag, accompanied by Dr Suhas Sabnis, Vice-Principal of RFSLMM; Mr Dhirendra Harbola, Principal of RFSLEM; Mr Subhash Gole; staff from both schools; security personnel from RIL Patalganga; students; and parents.
The school's music team sang two soul-stirring patriotic songs. The event fostered unity, cultural awareness, and a sense of duty for a prosperous India.

The Annual Varsha Marathon, with the motto Run to Empower, was one of the most enthusiastic events of the year so far. A total of 55 students (25 girls & 30 boys) participated in the Junior category, and 68 students (27 girls & 41 boys) participated in the Senior category.
Mr Ashu Garg, Chairman of the School Management Committee, initiated the marathon and motivated students to be energetic and fit. Winners from each category were awarded medals
The Annual Varsha Marathon was held with a focus on health, fitness, and compassion. On the same occasion, a plantation program for mango saplings was organized under the Plant 4 Life initiative at the RIL Patalganga Plant.
August 9th celebrated as Kranti Din was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm by the students and teachers from class III to XII Students were shown the important events of the independence period with the help of videos. Teachers clarified the doubts of learners, about the freedom struggle.
Reading is a passport to countless adventures was instilled in the young minds with a small book exhibition of story books and picture books on the 4th of August 2023 in the pre-primary section. The students strolled through the book display and also handled them individually, sparking their interest in books and the joy of reading.
Reliance Foundation School organised a dialogue with Mr Chandrakant Mane, IMV RTO, Navi Mumbai to create awareness among the students about how to be vigilant when on the road. In a very simple way, he guided the students about the rules that one has to follow on the road. It was truly an enlightening session.
Before this session, Mr Vinay Singh, HOA and an RTO officer held a meeting with school transporters setting guidelines and checklists regarding credentials of drivers, and safety precautions including do’s and don'ts which are necessary to be followed for the safety of students.
Sports & Games
On 11th July 2023 RFSLMM celebrated World Population Day seeking to focus attention on the urgency of population issues. Secondary and Higher secondary students displayed their concerns through role-play, dance, and songs and showcased their views of raising awareness on the issue through an essay and drawing competition.
July 6th 2023 marked the 21st death anniversary of honourable Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, founder of the Reliance group. On this occasion, Vice Principal Dr Suhas Sabnis, co-ordinators, teachers and students paid their tribute by offering a small prayer to Shri Dhirubhai Ambani’s photo frame.
Guru Purnima was celebrated with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm in RFSLMM by Pre-primary, Primary secondary and Higher secondary on the 3rd of July. Students paid their gratitude by presenting songs, poems, stories, thoughts, and self-experiences about their teachers. The teachers were presented flowers and greeting cards prepared by the students.
Ashadi Ekadasi was celebrated in RFSLMM on 28th June 23 with full zest and fervour both offline and online for pre-primary classes. The celebration started with a mesmerizing Dindi ceremony performance put up by the students of Grade VII. Students performed a dance to the song Vitthal Vitthal. Boys and Girls held flags, tals and cymbals enchanting the name of Lord Vitthal.
World Music Day was celebrated on 22nd June 2023 to encourage children to think about their genre of Music and think of a song that they would like to share with their classmates. Teachers and students participated enthusiastically and presented a spectacular musical show and displayed their amazing skills and talents.
International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21St July 2023 in school involving students of class X and XII offline and I to IX online. The entire school got involved in the global movement for health and wellness through Yoga for Everyone.
