Selection for Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Camp

Cadet Saee Rokade and Cadet Tirtha Javake from 1 Mah Girls Battalion have been selected for the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) camp among all the Junior Wing cadets of the 1 Maharashtra Girls Battalion. This camp will be held in Jalgaon from October 14th to October 24th.

NCC Combined Annual Training Camp.

NCC Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted for unit 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC, Mumbai at KJS College, Ghatkopar. 22 NCC cadets along with ANO Sweta Mishra from RFSNEM attended the camp for 10 days. On the last day of the camp, cultural events and various competitions were organized for the cadets. The following achievements of our cadets are as follows:

1) Cadet Shrushti Segale: Silver Medal in running event.

2) Cadet Arya More: Silver Medal for her outstanding article.

3) Cadet Swara Munde: Bronze Medal in poster making.

4) Cadet Saee Rokade: Excelled in firing and has been selected for the next Inter Group Competition (IGC) camp.

RFSNEM ranked no.1 in India under the Category – CBSE Parameter Wise for ‘Co-Curricular Education’ in a survey conducted by Education Today. India School Merit Awards, 2023 was held on December 11th, 2023 at The Taj – Bangalore Airport to felicitate all India’s Top School winners. The award result was published in the 11th Anniversary December Issue All India School Rating and Ranking edition of Education Today.

Felicitation of World Heart Day Poster Making Competition Winners

On account of World Heart Day, RFSNEM in collaboration with FWC,RIL-NMD, organised a Poster Making Competition for classes VI & VII on 4th October 2023.The topic for the competition was ‘Use Your Heart-Know Your Heart’ and the best posters were selected & the students were honoured with prizes. The winners were Yashi Hitesh Jain from VII B, Mrudula Prafull Bhoir from VI B, Gauri Jitesh Modi from VII A & Dhanush Satish Patil from VI A.

Drishti Art & Essay Competition

Reliance foundation Drishti Art & Essay Competition 2023 was conducted in School organised by Reliance Foundation for the students of classes VI to XII. The winners were as follows:

  • Suhasini Debnath of Class IX A was the National Gold winner in Group One. Her Essay on the topic -My India, My land of Diversity & Culture was selected from over 6760 entries across the country.
  • Shreya Suradhaniwar of Class VII A was the National Gold winner in Group Three Art competition. Her Artwork on the topic -My India, My land of Diversity & Culture was selected from over 6760 entries across the country.
  • Sejal Mane of Class III A bagged the position of National Gold Winner in Group One. Her Artwork on the topic -My India, My land of Diversity & Culture was selected from 10420 entries across the country.

Miss Tanishqua Janjirkar of Class IX brought laurels to the school by participating in DAV MUN Conference 2023 as Ms. Sonia Gandhi, a member of Opposition party in the LOKSABHA Committee and earning an award for the Most Diplomatic Delegate in the same. The whole team of twelve students raised the flag of the school high by bagging the Most Disciplined Team of the event.

TATA Essay Writing Competition.

TATA Group organised ‘TATA Building India School Event Competition 2023’ in School. TATA team glorified the work of Shri Jamshedji Tata through a PPT presentation and conducted a Quiz and Essay Writing Competition for the students of Classes VI to XII. The competition was conducted at two levels. Out of 112 students, 6 students were awarded medals & certificates. They are as follows:

In Junior Category: The winner- Ms. Jai Bakkar Class VIII A,1st Runner Up-Mst. Anvay Patil Class VII A, 2nd Runner Up- Ms. Narayani Patil Class VII A

In Senior Category: The winner- Mst. Soumitra Datar Class X A, 1st Runner Up Ms. Neha Kumari Class XI Com., 2nd Runner Up- Ms. Arya Limaya Class XI Com.

Felicitation of NCC Competition winners (21/4/2023-30/4/2023)

During the 10 days of Training Camp at SPDC College, Thane from 21st April to 30th April 2023, various competitions like Solo Singing, Article Writing, Drawing & Firing were organized for the cadets. In which RFSNEM achievers were as follows:

  • Solo Singing:                    Cadet Shyamal Patil – Silver Medal
  • Article writing:                  Cadet Akshara Patekar- Gold Medal
  1. Cadet Suhasini Debnath- Silver Medal
  • Drawing Competition:  Cadet Aarya Khade- Gold Medal
  • Firing Competition:             Sanchita Adhav- Bronze Medal
  • Appreciation: Cadet Tanishqa Janjirkar and Cadet Suhasini Debnath got appreciation certificate for their brilliant solution for problems of road safety.

The Achievers were felicitated in School assembly on 3rd May 2023 to motivate the students to participate in NCC activities & develop their skills

Felicitation of Elocution Competition winners (Road safety Week-18/1/2023)

As part of Road safety Week celebration, RFSNEM in collaboration with Security Dept. RIL, NMD conducted Elocution Competition on 18th January 2023 for the students of classes 8th,9th & 11th . The topics were Importance of Road safety & Ways to improve Road Safety. It was conducted to create awareness among the students about the safety of the people while walking & driving amidst heavy traffic on the roads. In all 23 students participated in the same, of which 3 students bagged the prizes. They are as follows:

1st Prize-Ms. Anshika Mishra Class XI (Science)

2nd Prize- Mst Soumitra Datar

3rd Prize- Mst. Maitrey Bandhankar.

Environmental awareness and improvement drives were initiated to empower students to create awareness about the safety norms to be followed while driving & walking on the roads among others.

On account of World Health Day, RFSNEM in collaboration with FWC. RIL, NMD conducted Drawing Competition on 6th April 2023 for the students of classes 8th, 9th & 10th. The topic was Health for All. The competition was organised to boost the creativity & artistic ability & to create awareness about importance of fitness for all round development among the students. In all 200 students participated in the same. Out of which 7 students bagged the prizes for best posters. They are as follows:

The students of RFSNEM participated in DAV MUN 2022 the first Inter-school Model United Nations Conference, a two-day conference on Thursday, 15 December 2022 and Friday, 16 December 2022 at DAV Panvel. Twelve students participated as delegates of specific countries in five different committees of MUN Conference. Mst. Aditya Ojha of Class IX brought laurels to the school by participating as a delegate of Canada in the UNCTAD Committee and earning an award for the best Position Paper in the same.

National Children’s Science Congress 2022.

Raigad District Level Online presentation under’ National Children’s Science Congress’-2022 was held on 20th November 2022. Two students participated in the same by submitting their projects. The State level Online Project presentation will be held on 3rd & 4th December 2022.

The achiever is Mst. Dev Vivek Mhatre of class VII A whose project-’Cultural Practices & Conservation of plants in Nagothane, Poynad & nearby Areas’ has been selected for the State level Competition.

The students & teachers of RFSNEM participated in the International Inter School Talent Fest 2022 organized by ACT Universal (Athak Chestha Trust) FZE LLC, UAE & India on account of International Children’s Day. The students participated in the events – Monologue, Mime & Skit. The teachers participated in ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ competition. The winners of the competition  are as follows:

  • Miss Yashvi Konher of class III bagged 1st prize in Monologue competition.
  • Miss Tirtha Javake of class VII bagged 3rd prize in Mime competition.

Miss Suhasini Debnath of class VIII Judges’ choice Award in Mime competition.

The students of RFSNEM participated in RFSKK MUN 2022 the Second Inter-school Model United Nations Conference, a two-day conference on Thursday, 10 November 2022 and Friday, 11 November 2022. Ten students participated as delegates of specific countries in three different committees of MUN Conference. Miss Anshika Mishra brought laurels to the school by participating as a delegate of Austria in the UNHCR Committee and bagging the tag as the best delegate in the same.

  • 7/9/2022- Four Cadets of 1 Mah Boys Bn were selected for RDC CATC NCC Camp at C 8 days Camp at Bhartiya Sainik Vidyalaya(Khadavli), Dist- Thane & 3 cadets completed the training at the camp. A great achievement for Mst. Soumitra Datar of class IX who represented 1 Mah Boys Bn NCC Unit, got selected & also attended the CATC 501 camp at Khadavli, Thane from 14/9/2022 to 21/9/2022. He received the participation certificate on completion of the camp.
  • Soumitra Datar of class IX got selected for the next RDC CATC 502 NCC Camp From 23/09/2022 to 30/09/2022 & completed the same successfully.
  •  A great achievement for RFSNEM as 1 Mah Girls Bn Group CTO Sweta Mishra completed the 60 days Pre-Commissioned Training & earned laurels for herself & the school. She completed ‘The Pre-Commissioned training’ at Gwalior, M.P. which was conducted for 15 days online and 45 days’ offline mode. CTO Sweta Mishra received two awards during her training period: 
  • 2nd best Firer in the course.
  • Certificate of Excellence in Yoga Instructional Program.

Out of 316 entries from all Reliance Schools – Soumitra Datar of class IX A secured 1st prize & added a feather in the School List of Achievements. Ms. Radha Datar of IV A got Consolation prize in the same event.

It was a moment of pride for RFSNEM when 17 Scouts & Guides were conferred with Rajya Puraskar Award for the AY 2018-19.It is the highest Governor’s award for Scouts & Guides at the state level. The awardees were felicitated in the school to applaud them & motivate other students to be a part of Scouts & Guides. The main aim of the Scout & Guide events  is to  enable our students to grow in a stimulating environment which is full of opportunities along with  their academic and extracurricular schedules

His topic was “Eco-friendly Blocks from Plastic Bottles” under zero waste Management.

NCC Best Cadet Award

NCC Cadets of RFSNEM, under 1 Maharashtra Girls Bn NCC, Mumbai unit, attended 10 days Combined Annual Training Camp at Indian Military School and Junior College, Khadwali. Cadet Shruti Gaikar of RFSNEM bagged the Best Cadet Award at the event. Cadet Aayushi Gupta bagged a silver medal in the drawing competition. The camp was facilitated by Caretaking Officer Sweta Mishra and Unit Staff. 

The Story of NCC activities conducted in the RFSNEM in the academic year 2020-21 under the guidance of the Principal Mr. Anop Shukla & ANO Mrs. Sweta Mishra was published in Reliance Foundation’s monthly newsletter ‘The Change Maker’.

A moment of pride for Scout & Guide Unit of RFSNEM. Miss Mansi Pawar who passed out in the year 2020, was honoured with the ‘Rajyapuraskar Award’ by the honorable Chief Guest, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari ( Governor of Maharashtra) in presence of Shri Chhatrapal Kedar,

(Present Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Maharashtra), Smt. Aditi Tatkare (Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Maharashtra.) & Shri Omprakash Bokariya, ( IAS , Chief Commissioner of Maharashtra Bharat Scouts And Guides.) We had total 18 participants for this examination. In all,143 Scouts and Guides from 23 districts were present for the ceremony. Mrs Pragati Kolhe, the Science Teacher from RFSNEM represented as one of the contingent leader for the program.

On 20th April,2022 Inter Group Firing Competition was held at US Club, Colaba, Mumbai. 10 cadets of 1 Maharashtra Girls Battalion NCC Mumbai of Reliance Foundation School, Nagothane were selected for the same. Among all, 3 cadets were selected as the best firers & qualified for the next level of the competition. The achievers are Cadet Soumya Nivritti Jambekar, Cadet Shubhra Yogesh Jadhav & Cadet Shravya Pranav Maturkar.
