Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti

The students and staff of RFSNEM commemorated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with deep reverence and pride, marking the birth anniversary of The Great Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The programme commenced with an informative presentation on his life, remarkable achievements, and visionary leadership that led to the establishment of the Maratha Empire. Students delivered eloquent speeches highlighting his courage, strategic acumen, sense of justice, and respect for all communities. A patriotic song and a captivating cultural performance beautifully portrayed significant episodes from his life, inspiring students with his ideals of self-governance and valour. A traditional Powada performance added historical fervour to the celebration, while a thoughtfully curated PPT showcasing various paintings of Shivaji Maharaj by renowned artists provided students with artistic and historical perspectives. The celebration fostered a strong sense of patriotism and leadership among students, motivating them to imbibe the values of bravery, integrity, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the nation.

The Science Department of RFSNEM organized an engaging and innovative Science Exhibition for students of Classes V to VII on 11th February 2026, providing a platform to showcase their scientific curiosity and creativity. The event commenced with a brief introduction emphasizing the importance of scientific temperament and inquiry-based learning. Students showcased an impressive array of working models and concept-based projects centered on themes such as renewable energy, environmental conservation, health, and technology. Each exhibit reflected in-depth research, practical application, creativity, and strong problem-solving abilities. The young innovators confidently presented their models to fellow students and staff, demonstrating clarity of concepts, scientific temperament, and enthusiasm for experiential learning. Adding a vibrant artistic dimension to the event, students also created rangoli designs inspired by various science sub-disciplines, beautifully blending creativity with scientific ideas.The awardee of School Youth Ideathon 2025 also showcased his project, creating awareness among students about the Make for Planet theme and inspiring them to develop sustainable, solution-oriented innovations for a better future.

The exhibition enhanced teamwork, creativity, and analytical thinking, inspiring students to explore science beyond textbooks and contribute meaningfully towards sustainable development.

Farewell of Class XII

The students of Class XI organized a heartfelt and memorable farewell for the outgoing Class XII batch. The programme began with a warm welcome address, acknowledging the achievements and contributions of the senior students to the school community.

A nostalgic presentation showcasing memorable moments, achievements, and milestones of the batch created an emotional and celebratory atmosphere. Students of Class XI presented lively dance performances, songs, and fun-filled games, adding joy and warmth to the occasion. The ceremonial passing of the Light of Knowledge from Head Boy and Head Girl to the Principal, and thereafter to the students of Class XI, symbolized the continuity of values, wisdom, and responsibility. Sashes bearing titles such as Best Student, Most Versatile, Most Punctual, Most Regular, and Most Sincere were conferred upon the outgoing students. Mementoes were also presented as heartfelt tokens of appreciation, recognition, and affection for their contributions to the school.

The farewell concluded with words of gratitude and encouragement from the school leadership, wishing the Class XII students success in their board examinations and future endeavors. The event beautifully reflected the values of gratitude, friendship, and lifelong learning.

Junior MUN

RFSNEM successfully organized the Junior Model United Nations (MUN) Conference for the students of Classes VI to VIII, providing them with a platform to develop leadership, research, and public speaking skills. The event began with a brief introduction to the objectives and functioning of the United Nations, highlighting the importance of global cooperation and diplomacy. A total of 24 students from Classes VI to VIII participated with great enthusiasm as delegates, representing various countries in two committees — UNEP and UNICEF. They engaged in insightful and thought-provoking deliberations on pressing global concerns such as water scarcity and the digital divide. Students of Classes IX and XI efficiently assumed the responsibilities of the Executive Board, guiding the proceedings with confidence and fairness. The session successfully fostered critical thinking, collaboration, public speaking skills, and respect for diverse viewpoints. The event concluded with reflections from the Executive Board & inspirational words by Principal Sir who commended the delegates for their thorough preparation, confidence, and diplomatic conduct. Outstanding performers were recognized and awarded for their commendable efforts. Overall, the Junior MUN was a highly enriching and empowering experience, nurturing informed, articulate, and responsible global citizens of tomorrow.

The Kites House organized a joyful and culturally enriching Basant Panchami celebration in the school assembly hall. The programme began with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by an informative presentation on the significance of the festival, marking the arrival of spring and the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom, knowledge, and arts. Performing Students were dressed in vibrant yellow attire symbolizing prosperity and energy. The celebration included a graceful dance performance and a melodious song by the teachers dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, creating a serene and festive atmosphere. A video clip depicting the story of Basant Panchami was shown to the students for enhancing their cultural knowledge. It was followed by a short quiz on the traditions and importance of Basant Panchami added an element of interactive learning. The event beautifully conveyed the values of knowledge, creativity, and cultural appreciation, encouraging students to seek wisdom and excellence in all spheres of life.

Republic Day

RFSNEM celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by Chief Guest- Shri Shashank Goel, President-RIL-NMD & SMC Chairman, who was accompanied by Shri Gautam Mukherjee, Member SMC, Head HR RIL-NMD & Madam Shailza Singh, School Manager. The celebration was followed by the National Anthem,pledge and preamble, instilling a deep sense of pride and unity among all present. A well-coordinated and commendable parade was showcased by the NCC cadets and the Scout & Guide teams, reflecting their rigorous training, discipline, and unwavering commitment. In collaboration with RILNMD, a cultural event was organised in RIL Township on the eve of Republic Day. Students presented patriotic songs and energetic dance performances that reflected the rich cultural diversity of our nation. An inspirational speech was delivered by the Chief Guest which emphasized the duties and responsibilities of citizens in strengthening our democracy. A captivating Jhanki presentation on “Viksit Bharat through AI” was showcased by the students, highlighting India’s vision of becoming a developed nation empowered by technology and innovation. The celebration served as a reminder of our constitutional values and inspired students to contribute responsibly towards the progress of the nation.

Annual Social Gathering: DAY 2

The day two event commenced on an auspicious note with a graceful Welcome Dance invoking Lord Ganesha, symbolizing wisdom, positivity, and new beginnings The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Shashank Goel, President RILNMD & Chairman, SMC along with the Guest of Honour Shri V. P. Joy Sir, Sr. Executive Vice President RIL & Member Secretary-RFSAC& member SMC & Special Guest Shri Alok Katdare, Advisor, RFSAC, & Member SMC. Their encouraging and inspiring words added great value to the occasion. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour  handed out certificates and prizes to the awardee students in academics.  It was followed by the well-coordinated presentations highlighted India’s heritage, values, and contemporary spirit to build upon the theme of Incredible India through a powerful and inspiring showcase of creativity, cultural richness, and value-based learning. . The celebration featured a vibrant cultural journey through performances such as Seven Sisters of India, Unity in Diversity, and Festive Rhythms of India, highlighting India’s regional diversity, traditions, and harmonious coexistence. Folk, classical, fusion dances and musical presentations will reflect the depth of India’s artistic heritage.

Thought-provoking skits including Mindset, Strength in the Shadows, and Hell and Heaven will address important social and moral themes, emphasizing resilience, hope, inclusivity, ethical choices, and empathy. The spirit of national pride further strengthened through India’s Pride in Sports, promoting discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and respect for indigenous sports.

Instrumental music and thematic presentations such as Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Yuga Chakra showcased India’s philosophical wisdom and spiritual legacy, while the visually impactful Shakti Stambh – Rise of Pillar will stand as a tribute to women’s strength, unity, balance, and empowerment.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the presence and support of the Chief Guest, dignitaries, management, school leadership, teachers, staff, parents, and students.

The Annual Gathering was a grand success and served as a joyful celebration of creativity, confidence, and cultural pride, truly reflecting the essence of Incredible India.

RFSNEM celebrated its Annual Social Gathering for the academic year 2025–26 on the theme “Incredible India”, celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage, unity in diversity, and vibrant traditions. The programme was conducted over two days –22nd & 23rd December 2025, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents through a variety of cultural performances.

The first day event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Smt. Seema Goel, President of Ladies Club, RILNMD along with the Guest of Honour Shri Shashank Goel, President RILNMD & Chairman, SMC whose encouragement and inspiring words added great value to the occasion. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour  handed out certificates and prizes to the awardee students in academics.

The Annual Day Celebrations for Balvatika to Grade V commenced on a joyous note with the lamp lighting ceremony & a soulful Welcome Song and Welcome Dance, setting the tone for a vibrant and memorable event while warmly greeting the esteemed guests. The students from kindergarten to Class 5 entertained everyone with their beautiful dance and Skit performances. The programme beautifully reflected India’s rich cultural tapestry through a series of thematic performances. Balvatika students performed their best to spread festive cheer with Festivals of India, showcasing colourful dances depicting Navratri, Eid, and Christmas. LKG & UKG students tried to reinforce the message of Unity in Diversity by portraying India’s varied languages, cultures, and traditions & imbibe the values followed by our ancestors towards their Gurus like Eklavya & Dronacharya Cultural vibrancy continued with Rajasthani Dance and  energetic Punjabi Dance, offering glimpses into regional traditions. Environmental awareness will be highlighted through a thought-provoking performance on the pathetic condition of wildlife, stressing the need for conservation and rehabilitation, inspired by initiatives such as Vantara. The dance on “Viksit Bharat” celebrated India’s progress in technology, infrastructure, and culture, envisioning a developed India by 2047.

CBSE CBP Workshop on Gender Sensitivity in Schools

A CBSE Workshop on “Gender Sensitivity in Schools” was conducted on 8th November 2025 by RFSNEM in its school premises, focusing on creating awareness and fostering an inclusive, respectful environment within educational institutions. The workshop was graced by esteemed resource persons — Shri Pradeep Panigrahi, Principal- Shri S.T.Kadam Vidyalaya, Palghar and Madam. Shipra Gupta, HOD Economics,PGT-Vibgyor High, Kharghar, Raigad who brought valuable insights and practical perspectives to the session. A total of 61 participants from various schools attended the workshop with enthusiasm. The resource persons emphasized the importance of gender equality, unbiased classroom practices, and empathy-driven communication. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and reflective activities, teachers explored ways to promote safe, equitable, and supportive learning spaces for students of all genders.

The session encouraged educators to recognize and challenge stereotypes, promote inclusivity, and integrate gender sensitivity into daily teaching practices. Participants appreciated the workshop for its relevance and for equipping them with effective strategies to nurture mutual respect, understanding, and equality among students.

The workshop concluded with a reaffirmation of the educators’ commitment to building gender-sensitive and value-based school environments.

Traffic Safety Week Awareness Session

RFSNEM observed Traffic Safety Week Awareness Session on 3rd and 4th November 2025 in collaboration with Security Dept, RIL-NMD, with the objective of spreading awareness about the importance of road safety among students. Drawing & Elocution Competitions were organized for classes VI to IX to instill responsible behavior and awareness of traffic rules.

On 3rd November 2025, a Drawing Competition was conducted on the themes — “Road Safety Begins with Me,” “Safe Roads – Safe Lives,” and “Be Alert – Don’t Get Hurt.” Students from all sections enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and understanding of the importance of following traffic rules through meaningful and impactful artwork.

On 4th November 2025, an Elocution Competition was held for the same classes, with 68 students participating. The topics included “My Role in Promoting Traffic Rules,” “Rules on Road – Tools for Life,” and “Every Life Matters – Follow Traffic Rules.” The participants spoke with confidence and conviction, emphasizing the significance of safety, discipline, and awareness on the roads.

The two-day event successfully enhanced students’ understanding of road discipline, pedestrian safety, and responsible commuting. The collaboration with the Security Dept, RIL NMD provided an enriching learning experience, reinforcing the message that road safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Diwali Celebration

The Hawks House of RFSNEM organized a vibrant and value-based Diwali Celebration in school, highlighting the spirit and significance of the festival of lights. The programme began with a brief presentation on the significance of Diwali, emphasizing the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and the importance of truth, unity, and compassion in our lives. Students presented a lively dance performance and a melodious Diwali song, spreading festive joy and enthusiasm among all students. A quiz on Diwali traditions and customs added an element of excitement and learning for the students. Additionally, a PowerPoint presentation prepared by the Hawks House team beautifully showcased the values associated with Diwali—such as honesty, gratitude, sharing, and respect for others. The celebration created an atmosphere of positivity and togetherness, reminding everyone of the importance of celebrating festivals in an eco-friendly and value-based manner.

Investiture Ceremony

RFSNEM conducted its Investiture Ceremony to formally bestow responsibilities upon the newly elected Prefectorial Board for the AY-2025-26. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter of leadership, commitment, and responsibility among the students. The newly appointed office bearers included the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, Sports Vice-Captain, IT Secretary, Cultural Secretary, House Captains, Vice Captains, Associate Captains, Associate Vice Captains for all the four houses namely the Eagles, the Falcons, the Hawks & the Kites, along with Sergeant, Corporal, and Lance Corporal of 1 Maharashtra girls & Boys Battalion Unit , and members of the Scout and Guide units, including the Scout Captain, Scout Vice Captain, Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, Guide Captain, Guide Vice-Captain, Company Leader, and Assistant Company Leader. The ceremony commenced with handing over the power in the form of the flags to all the heads, sashes, and badge distribution to all the members of the prefectorial Board, symbolizing the conferment of duties and responsibilities. The newly inducted leaders took the oath of office administered by the Principal Shri Anop Shukla, pledging to uphold the school’s values and perform their duties with integrity and dedication. The Head Boy and Head Girl addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude and promising to lead by example. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the school management and teachers for their guidance and support. A solemn retreat ceremony followed, signifying the smooth transition of responsibilities.

The ceremony instilled a sense of pride and motivation among the students, inspiring them to strive for excellence in academics, discipline, and service.

A Capacity Building Programme (CBP) organized by CBSE on the topic “Use of AI in Classrooms” was hosted by RFSNEM. The session was conducted by experienced resource persons — Madam Mukta Khatavkar, Principal, Shakuntala Ramsheth Thakur School, Ulwe, Raigad, and Shri Jitendra Mahajan, PGT, Lady Khatun Marium School, Nhava, Raigad. The session aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding and practical application of Artificial Intelligence in teaching-learning processes. Around 60 participants from various schools attended the session with great enthusiasm. The resource persons shared valuable insights on integrating AI tools to promote personalized learning, improve student engagement, and support data-driven teaching strategies. The session was highly informative and interactive, providing educators with hands-on experience and innovative ideas to incorporate AI effectively in classrooms. Participants appreciated the initiative for its relevance to modern education and its contribution toward enhancing digital competency among teachers.

RFSNEM participated in the 5th Inter-School Model United Nations Conference hosted by RFSKK, where six schools of the RFS Family took part. The event featured three committees — UNGA (United Nations General Assembly), UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council), and ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council). Our delegates  actively engaged in discussions, debates, and drafting resolutions on global issues, showcasing commendable research, diplomacy, and communication skills. The experience provided them with valuable exposure to international affairs and policy-making processes. All participating students received Certificates of Participation in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement and contribution. The event proved to be a fruitful learning experience, enhancing students’ confidence, collaboration, and leadership skills.

On 3rd & 4th October 2025, RFSNEM successfully launched the inaugural edition of RFSNEM-MUN (Model United Nations) conference 2025, as a high-intensity, two-day diplomatic summit. The conference convened seven participating schools, instantly establishing a competitive and intellectually fertile ground for future global leaders. Structured around four critical United Nations committees, the event seamlessly blended rigorous policy debate with cultural engagement and spiritual reflection.

The conference was formally opened on 3rd October 2025 with an auspicious ceremony, including a traditional Saraswati Vandana invocation. The opening ceremony was graced by the Honourable Chief Guest Shri Shashank Goel, Chairman-SMC & President-RILNMD & Madam Shailza Singh, School Manager & HR-RILNMD. They were escorted by Principal Shri Anop Shukla, Vice Principal Ms. Marita Choollakkal, MUN Incharge Mrs. Parvin Pathan, and Secretary General Ms. Urshita Tomar & Deputy Secretary General Ms. Gauri Ganachari. The Opening Address was delivered by the honourable Chief Guest-Shri Shashank Goel Sir, whose speech centered on the critical necessity of ethical leadership and the power of youth-driven diplomacy in an era of global complexity.

Following the inaugural session, delegates immediately rushed into their respective committee mandates:

The World Health Organization (WHO) grappled with the pervasive challenge of Mental Health in the Digital Age, focusing on preventative strategies against digital fatigue.

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) undertook the ambitious task of designing sustainable Green Economy Models, seeking to decouple growth from ecological impact.

The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) engaged in a crucial debate on Protecting Journalists and Human Rights Defenders under restrictive regimes.

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) focused on structural reform via the Circular Economy and Waste Management strategies.

Day one was characterized by intense strategic maneuvering. Delegates spent hours in moderated & unmoderated caucuses, meticulously forming blocs, drafting working papers, and presenting opening statements that established the complex policy stances of their assigned nations. The level of research and diplomatic protocol observed was exceptionally high, laying the groundwork for decisive action on the second day. There was a unique inclusion in the program: The visit to the sacred Omkareshwar Temple followed by a cultural program in the evening. The Delegates set aside their diplomatic roles to foster inter-delegation harmony through vibrant performances of dance, music, and dramatic story narration. This synthesis of policy and culture reinforced the human element that underlies all international relations. This provided a vital moment of spiritual reprieve and collective reflection for the delegates and staff, refreshing their focus a day before the final, high-stakes sessions.

The second day's sessions were pivotal, culminating in the final drafting and voting procedures for the committee's resolutions. The quality of the final documents reflected a high degree of compromise and substantive negotiation, demonstrating the delegates’ mastery of consensus-building.

The conference concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony and Felicitation. This session was honored by the presence of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of FWC, whose keynote address provided pragmatic guidance on leveraging diplomatic skills in the professional world.

The final act was the recognition of exceptional talent across five categories, including the most coveted Best Delegate titles, Outstanding Delegate awards, and the Most Diplomatic Delegate for those who excelled at cooperation. Special recognition was also given to the Most Disciplined Team, celebrating collective excellence. The Executive Board members were felicitated along with the accompanying teachers of the participating schools.

The Secretary-General formally declared the conference closed, cementing the inaugural RFSNEM-MUN 2025 as a resounding success and establishing a compelling precedent for the tradition of diplomacy within the school.

The RFSNEM-MUN 2025 not only provided a platform for intellectual exchange but also inculcated a sense of responsibility and global citizenship among the students. The event received positive feedback from all participants and guests, marking it as a resounding success.

Navratri Celebration

On 1st October 2025, Navratri was celebrated in RFSNEM with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The event was organized by the Falcons House, highlighting the cultural and spiritual significance of this vibrant festival.

The celebration began with a short presentation on the significance of Navratri, explaining the triumph of good over evil and the worship of Goddess Durga in her nine divine forms. Students presented a skit depicting the values of courage, devotion, and righteousness associated with the festival.

A melodious song performance by the school choir added to the devotional atmosphere, filling the environment with positivity and joy. The highlight of the celebration was a lively Garba performance, where students and teachers participated with great enthusiasm, dressed in traditional attire, showcasing the spirit of togetherness and cultural heritage.

The principal appreciated the efforts of Falcons House for organizing a meaningful and joyous celebration that beautifully combined learning with festivity.

The Navratri Celebration was a delightful event that brought the school community together to celebrate tradition, unity, and cultural pride.

Eagle House students from the Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary sections came together to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 1st October 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event aimed to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and to reflect on his teachings of truth, non-violence, and moral values. The event also aimed to honor the life and values of India’s second Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji.

The celebration commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by the Honourable Principal, Shri Anop Shukla, Vice Principal Ms. Marita Choollakkal accompanied by the school leadership team. Students shared insights into the significance of Gandhi Jayanti, highlighting Mahatma Gandhi’s contributions to India’s freedom struggle and his philosophy of non-violence. A tribute was offered to Shastriji’s portrait, followed by speeches highlighting his ideals of simplicity, honesty, and patriotism. Students presented poems and short skits depicting his famous slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.” A short documentary on the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi was shown, offering students a visual journey through his impactful life.

RFSNEM celebrated Hindi Diwas on 30th September 2025 with great enthusiasm to honor and promote the national language, Hindi. The event aimed to instill a sense of pride and respect for the language among students of Classes V to X.

 

The highlight of the celebration was a vibrant Kavi Sammelan (Poetry Gathering), where students showcased their creativity and love for the language through self-composed and famous Hindi poems. Their recitations reflected patriotism, humor, and social awareness, captivating the audience with expressive delivery and confidence.

The Principal & teachers appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and linguistic flair. The event also emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting Hindi as a unifying medium of communication and cultural identity.

A Career Guidance Session was organized by RFSNEM for the students of Classes IX to XII to motivate and guide them towards achieving their academic and career goals. The session was conducted by Ms. Shubhra Khade, daughter of Mr. Mahesh Khade (RIL employee), who passed CBSE Board Examination by securing 95.8% & recently cleared the NEET examination with an All India Rank (AIR) of 7069.

Her session on the topic “A Roadmap to Cracking NEET along with Boards” provided students with valuable insights into effective study techniques, time management strategies, and the importance of balancing board preparation with entrance exam readiness. She asked the students to make Mistake notebook which helped her to preparing for examinations. She shared her personal journey, challenges, and success strategies that inspired students to remain focused and consistent in their efforts.

 

The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and seek practical tips on managing stress, choosing the right study material, and maintaining a healthy routine during preparation.

The event concluded with words of appreciation and a vote of thanks to Ms. Shubhra Khade for her motivational talk and for inspiring students to pursue their goals with determination and discipline.

RFSNEM organized a Mental Wellness Session on 26th September 2025 for the students of Classes VIII to XII to promote emotional well-being and mental health awareness among adolescents. It was conducted in collaboration with FWC, RIL NMD.The session was conducted by Dr. Prashant Nagda from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, a renowned expert in the field of mental health and counseling.

Dr. Nagda emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy mind along with a healthy body. He discussed various aspects of stress management, emotional balance, self-awareness, and positive thinking, helping students understand how to cope with academic pressure and personal challenges effectively.

Through engaging discussions and real-life examples, students learned about the significance of open communication, mindfulness, and seeking help when needed. The session also encouraged students to prioritize mental wellness and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A segment where students shared their thoughts and received valuable advice from the expert. Words of appreciation  was extended to Dr. Prashant Nagda for his insightful and motivating session.

RFSNEM celebrated Nutritional Week on 25th September 2025 for the students of Classes VI to VIII with an aim to spread awareness about the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. The session was conducted by Dr. Vaishali Marathe & her team under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mr. Prashant Bardoloi. The team enlightened students on the significance of nutrition in physical and mental well-being. They discussed the importance of balanced meals, adequate hydration, and regular exercise, while also addressing common dietary misconceptions among adolescents.To make the event more engaging, a Nutrition Quiz was organized, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of all classes. The quiz tested their knowledge on food groups, vitamins, minerals, and healthy habits. Winners were appreciated for their active participation and awareness.

Reliance Foundation Drishti organizes The Drishti Art & Essay Competition every year for the students at Reliance Foundation Schools. This year it was conducted on 24th August 2025 to encourage creativity and expression among students. The Drishti Art & Essay Competition was inaugurated by the Shri Shashank Goel- President RIL_NMD, adding grace and motivation to the event. A total of 157 students from classes I to VIII participated in the Drishti Art Competition (DAC) and 68 students of Classes VI to XII took part in the Drishti Essay Competition (DEC). The events provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic and writing skills on socially relevant themes. The competition successfully nurtured confidence, awareness, and talent in a spirit of healthy competition.

On 23rd August 2025, a Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Life Skills (Advanced) was organized by CBSE & hosted by RFSNEM to strengthen teachers’ understanding of essential 21st-century competencies. The session was conducted by experienced CBSE Resource Persons, Dr. Rajeev Garg, Principal, Datta Meghe World Academy | City Coordinator – CBSE | President – Mumbai Sahodaya and Dr. Rashmirekha Saha, Principal at SNBP School, Chikhali-Pune. In all sixty-one participants attended the session.The  CBP focused on decision-making, problem-solving, creative thinking, empathy, interpersonal skills, and coping strategies, all crucial for nurturing confident and well-balanced students. Through discussions, role-plays, and interactive activities, teachers explored ways to integrate life skills into daily classroom practices in alignment with NEP 2020.The engaging session encouraged sharing of ideas, reflection, and collaborative learning. An Inter-House Debate Competition was organized by RFSNEM for the students of classes VI to XII to encourage critical thinking, public speaking, and confidence among students. The event was conducted in two languages — Hindi and English — providing students an opportunity to express their views fluently in both mediums.

In the Hindi debate, the topic was “अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान – विकास या पैसों की बर्बादी?” Participants presented strong arguments discussing whether space research contributes to progress or is a misuse of resources. The debate saw passionate exchanges, logical reasoning, and insightful perspectives on India’s growing role in space technology.

In the English debate, students deliberated on the topic “Is Artificial Intelligence a threat to employment or a gateway to new opportunities?” Participants explored the impact of AI on the future of work, weighing its risks and benefits with well-researched points, real-world examples, and forward-thinking ideas.

Each house was represented by skilled debaters who impressed the judges with their clarity, confidence, and ability to counter arguments effectively. The audience remained engaged throughout, appreciating the lively yet respectful exchange of ideas.

The panel of judges-Ms. Shailza Singh, School Manager, Shri Natyesh Patil-PGT, RFSNMM, Shri Shailesh Singh, IT Head, RIL-NMD & Ms. Suvarna Chavan-TGT, RFSNMM evaluated participants on content, delivery, argumentation, and overall presentation. Hawks House joyfully celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on 22nd August 2025, honouring Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom and prosperity. The celebration aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the festival’s spiritual and cultural relevance while nurturing respect for India’s rich heritage. The venue was alive with festive drapery, Ganesh idol, floral décor, rangoli, and soft lighting, creating a warm and devotional ambience. The event opened with a serene prayer and chants, followed by a brief address on the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi in spreading unity, humility, and knowledge. Students enthralled the audience with a well-prepared skit based on episodes from Lord Ganesha’s life, a vibrant dance capturing the spirit of festivity, and a soulful aarti that filled the atmosphere with devotion. An informative PPT presentation highlighted the rituals, traditions, and the need for environment-friendly celebrations. As part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Scout and Guide units of RFSNEM actively participated in a unique and educational activity titled “I Naturalist” on 15th August 2025. 17 Scouts and 18 Guides participated in the activity. The activity aimed to foster environmental awareness, observation skills, and a deeper connection with nature among the Scouts and Guides. The students explored the school campus and nearby green areas to identify various plants, insects, birds, and trees, took photographs and recorded videos. Students also clicked on the photos and recorded their observations. They were able to classify species, take geo-tagged photographs, and share their findings with the community. This activity emphasized teamwork, curiosity, and respect for nature. Students observed nature, birds and insects in their natural habitat. It added a meaningful dimension to the Independence Day celebrations, blending patriotism with ecological consciousness.

RFSNEM celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm across two days of vibrant activities at school & in Bal Gandharva Rang Bhavan in collaboration with RIL, NMD. On 14th August, the students from Classes V to X showcased their talent through a soulful patriotic song-’Taqat Watan ki Hum se hai’ and a powerful dance performance depicting Operation Sindoor, honoring the bravery of our armed forces in the auditorium of the RIL township.

On 15th August, the formal Independence Day ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the honourable Chief Guest- Shri Shashank Goel, President-RIL-NMD & SMC Chairman, who was accompanied by Shri Gautam Mukherjee, Member SMC, Head HR RIL-NMD. Flag Hoisting was followed by the National Anthem. A disciplined and impressive parade was presented by the NCC cadets and Scout & Guide teams, showcasing their training and dedication. School children sang patriotic song-’Aye Watan Aye Watan Humko teri kasam’ that resonated with pride and unity, followed by an inspirational speech by the Chief Guest that reflected on the significance of freedom and the sacrifices made by our heroes. The event concluded with the felicitation of meritorious students from Classes X and XII, recognizing their academic excellence and dedication in the CBSE Board Examination.

The two-day celebration was a beautiful blend of cultural expression, national pride, and student achievement, reinforcing the values of unity, courage, and excellence.

The quiz included questions from Science, History, Sports, English and Current Affairs. The final round was very exciting and kept everyone anxious & engaged. On 30th July 2025, RFSNEM hosted an enriching session of the Alumni Talk Series featuring Dr. Nayanika Saha, a distinguished alumna currently pursuing her Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology and Oral Implantology and a fellowship in Full Mouth Rehabilitation at D.Y. Patil University. The Guest Speaker-Dr. Nayanika Saha shared her journey from school to becoming an award-winning dental professional, highlighting her clinical experience, academic achievements—including the Best Paper Presentation Award at a National Dental Conference—and her commitment to community outreach through dental camps for underserved populations. Students were inspired by her multifaceted personality—an accomplished writer with two published books, a co-author of over 25 anthologies, and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer who has performed in fundraisers for cancer patients. Her talk emphasized the importance of balancing academic excellence with social responsibility and creative pursuits. She motivated students of Classes IX to XII to pursue their passions with dedication and clarity. She emphasized the importance of consistent hard work, self-belief, and exploring diverse interests to discover one’s true calling. The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and Reliance Foundation, in collaboration with Dadu – the Children’s Museum of Qatar, had organized the ‘Light Atelier’ Exhibition for the students of classes IV to VIII of RFSNEM at NMACC on 30th July & 5th August 2025.  The exhibition supported the goals of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, which encouraged experiential learning, creativity, and joyful education. It linked art, science, and design and promoted skills like curiosity, Creativity, observation, and collaboration. The students also explored the ‘Infinity Mirrored Room’ designed by world-renowned artist Yayoi Kusama – a room filled with mirrors and lights that creates the illusion of an endless space. It was an interactive and creative exhibition for the students with an opportunity to explore light, shadow, colour, and reflections in a fun and playful way. In this immersive exhibition, the students explored hands-on environment, experimentation, imagination & fun filled activities in a creative way.

On 26th July 2025, RFSNEM commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a heartfelt tribute organized by the NCC Cadets, honoring the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War of 1999.The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony led by Principal symbolizing respect and remembrance. This was followed by an informative presentation by the cadets, highlighting the significance of the day and the valiant efforts of our armed forces. A patriotic song dedicated to the National Flag and the country was performed by the cadets, setting a tone of pride and unity. The program continued with a briefing on the three major operations of the Kargil War—by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy—emphasizing the coordinated efforts that led to India’s victory. A powerful skit portrayed the emotional journey of soldiers and their families, shedding light on the sacrifices made not only on the battlefield but also at home. Cadets also presented profiles of martyrs, paying homage to their courage and dedication. A dance performance followed, symbolizing the unwavering spirit and motivation of Indian soldiers. The event concluded with the NCC Song, echoing the values of discipline, patriotism, and service.

On 10th July 2025, Eagles House of RFSNEM organized a heartfelt celebration to mark Guru Pournima, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude and reverence towards teachers and mentors. The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony led by the Principal, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom imparted by our Gurus. This was followed by a brief presentation by students on the significance of Guru Pournima, emphasizing the timeless role of teachers in shaping lives and guiding generations.

A skit was performed that beautifully portrayed the bond between a Guru and disciple, highlighting the values of respect, discipline, and learning. The emotional depth of the performance resonated with the audience, reminding everyone of the sacrifices and dedication of educators.Adding to the spirit of celebration, students showcased a dance performance that symbolized the joy of learning and the inspiration drawn from teachers. On 9th July 2025, RFSNEM conducted its first-ever Model United Nations (MUN) conference, marking a significant milestone in its academic and co-curricular journey. The one-day event saw enthusiastic participation from current students and alumni, showcasing their diplomatic skills and global awareness.

The MUN Society of RFSNEM established four committees:

ECOSOC – Economic and Social Council

WHO – World Health Organization

The opening ceremony was graced by Principal Shri Anop Shukla, Vice Principal Ms. Marita Choollakkal, MUN Incharge Mrs. Parvin Pathan, and Secretary General Ms. Suhasini Debnath, along with the school faculty. The principal’s inspiring speech set the tone for a day of meaningful debate and collaboration. Delegates, dressed in formal attire, engaged in dynamic discussions, diplomatic negotiations, and collaborative problem-solving throughout the day. The committees witnessed active debates, critical questioning, and strategic planning, simulating real-world international diplomacy.

The event provided a platform for students to develop essential skills such as public speaking, analytical thinking, and teamwork. The programme included a quiz competition, an educational video on kids’ safety, and a short introduction to occupational health by experts, which made the sessions both interactive and informative. To recognize and encourage student participation, a prize distribution ceremony was held on 7th August 2025, where winners of the quiz competition were felicitated for their enthusiastic involvement. RFSNEM celebrated IDY with great enthusiasm on 21st June, 2025. A mass yoga demonstration was conducted during the morning assembly at the School Assembly Hall from 9:40 am to 11:00 am, involving students from Classes I to XII along with the staff. The yoga session included: Prayer and Om chanting, Warm-up Exercises and Yoga Asanas such as Tadasana, Padmasana, Trikonasana, Virbhadrasana, and Shavasana, breathing techniques: Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Anulom Vilom were also demonstrated followed by a meditation session and pledge. Students of Classes X to XII delivered group presentations on various yoga-related topics to create awareness about the benefits of Yoga. Students from Classes III to V participated in a painting competition on the theme ‘Yoga For One Earth, One Health’. Over 200 students submitted colourful and meaningful artworks. An essay competition was organized for students of Classes IX to XII on the topic ‘Importance and benefits of Yoga in Modern Life’. Poster-making activity was conducted for the students of Classes V to VIII with slogans like “Yoga Every Day, Keeps Illness Away” and “Yoga: Harmony Between Mind and Body”. The posters were displayed across school corridors to promote the message of yoga. A session of Yoga for staff was also conducted by Physical Education Teachers, who demonstrated various asanas, pranayama techniques, and meditation practices.

The celebration was a grand success. It not only engaged students in a variety of creative and physical activities but also instilled the value of leading a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice. RFSNEM celebrated World Environment Day (WED) 2025 for a week in collaboration with the Environment Dept, RIL-NMD. It was filled with a series of engaging and thought-provoking activities designed to instill a deeper sense of environmental responsibility and awareness among our students. The celebration aimed to empower young minds to become active participants in protecting our planet.

The day began with a powerful initiative where students were encouraged to write their personal pledges for reducing pollution and stick them on the board for display. This activity fostered individual accountability and commitment, as each student reflected concrete actions they could take to contribute to a healthier environment. These heartfelt pledges of students served as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards sustainable living.

As a vital part of our awareness drive, environment-related movies were screened for various age groups. These carefully selected films provided compelling visual narratives about ecological challenges and inspiring solutions, sparking discussions and deepening students' understanding of global environmental issues. The students were asked to answer questions based on environmental movies and correct answers were awarded prizes.

Creative expression was at the forefront with a vibrant Drawing Competition for students of Classes I to III. Young artists brought their visions of a sustainable future and the beauty of nature to life on paper, showcasing their innate connection to the environment.

An Elocution Competition was held for Classes IV to VI. Students passionately articulated their views on environmental protection, climate action, and sustainable practices, demonstrating impressive research and public speaking skills. The competition provided a platform for them to voice their concerns and propose solutions.

Finally, students from Classes VII & VIII participated in an Essay Competition, where they delved into complex environmental topics, presenting well-researched arguments and innovative ideas for a greener future. This activity encouraged critical thinking and enhanced their ability to articulate sophisticated environmental concepts.

Nurturing Nature - Tree Plantation Drive 2025

RFSNEM organized a successful Tree Plantation Drive at Kuhire Gate, NMD on 17th June 2025. This significant event, a collaborative effort by the students of Eco Club, Scout & Guide, and NCC Department, aimed to promote Environmental Awareness and enhance our green cover.

A total of 183 students from Classes V, IX and X enthusiastically participated in the event. The drive was held under the poignant theme, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" (A Tree in Mother's Name), promoting a deep emotional connection to nature.

The event commenced with an introduction, emphasizing the importance of trees, followed by an inspiring address from Forest Officer RFO Mr. D.S. Kukade. Students then took a collective pledge for environmental protection before actively planting 200 saplings of fruit-bearing, medicinal, and shade-giving trees like neem, mango, peepal, and Jamun. An awareness rally was also conducted in Nisarg Township with environmental slogans, and NCC girl cadets from Class IX performed a street play on the "Importance of Trees."

This successful initiative not only contributed to beautifying the surroundings but also instilled a strong sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship among the students, which is vital for their holistic development.

29/05/2025-07/06/2025: NCC CATC–506 (Combined Annual Training Camp)

It was a proud moment for RFSNEM as its 24 cadets participated in the NCC CATC–506 (Combined Annual Training Camp). The intensive camp was held at K.J. Somaiya College, Mumbai, from 29th May to 7th June 2025, and was meticulously organized by the 1 Maharashtra Girls Battalion, NCC Group B. The CATC–506 provided the cadets with an invaluable first-hand experience of army life, marked by rigorous and comprehensive training conducted by dedicated Army personnel. The cadets received expert instruction in essential drills such as parade, physical fitness, weapon handling, and field craft. This intensive training regimen was instrumental in instilling core values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership among the participants.

Beyond the demanding training, all the cadets also actively participated in various inter-battalion competitions held during the camp and raised the school’s Flag high with their outstanding achievements in those events. Their dedication, perseverance, and exemplary performance truly shone through, reflecting the high standards of training and commitment fostered at RFSNEM.

RFSNEM hosted an inspiring session as part of ongoing Alumni Talk Series for the students of classes X - XII, featuring esteemed alumnus Mr. Shubham Madhukar Pingale. A proud graduate of our school, who passed Class 12th in 2014, Mr. Pingale was invited to share his invaluable insights on "How to Tackle Competitive Exams."

Mr. Pingale's impressive academic journey includes a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai (2014-2018), and an MBA in Operations from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (2022-2024). Professionally, he brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Reliance Industries Ltd. (2018-2022) and currently serves at Bristlecone India Ltd. in Pune.

During the engaging session, Mr. Pingale drew upon his extensive experience providing practical strategies, effective study techniques, and crucial mindset tips for students preparing for various competitive examinations. His talk resonated deeply with our students, offering them a clear roadmap and renewed motivation to approach their academic goals with confidence. He dedicated his time and shared his expertise, truly embodying the spirit of "Learn, Imagine, Excel" that we instill in our students. Such interactions are invaluable in guiding our future leaders.

World Autism Awareness Day

On April 15, 2025, RFSNEM students gathered for a special morning assembly to observe World Autism Awareness Day. This significant event aimed to foster greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusivity towards individuals on the autism spectrum within our school community and beyond. The assembly commenced with a heartfelt Introduction to Autism which captivated students with insightful explanations and a poignant video presentation that shed light on the diverse experiences of individuals with autism. Following this, a comprehensive PowerPoint Presentation on Autism was shown, delving deeper into its characteristics, challenges, and unique strengths, helping to dispel misconceptions.

A powerful moment of solidarity was observed as the Counselor led the entire student body in an Autism Awareness Pledge, reinforcing our collective commitment to empathy and support. The assembly concluded with an important announcement regarding follow-up activities: a Poster Making and Blue Band Making Activity scheduled for April 17th, inviting students to further express their understanding and commitment. The assembly concluded reverently with the National Anthem.

RFSNEM celebrated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence on 18th February,2025. The event aimed to honor the legacy of the great Maratha warrior and inspire students with his values of courage, leadership, and patriotism. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp and floral tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by the Principal, followed by students inspiring speeches along with  Powadas on his contributions to nation-building and warfare strategies. The students presented a compelling Dance drama depicting Afzal khan's meeting with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the battle of Pratapgad. The performance highlighted his bravery, intelligence, and commitment to Swarajya. The event concluded with a speech by the Principal to imbibe the values of honesty, bravery, and patriotism among the students.

Khari Kamai Activity by Scouts & Guides.

The Scout and Guide Group of RFSNEM conducted the Khari Kamai activity, an entrepreneurial venture designed to instill values of teamwork, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship among students. The event witnessed active participation, proper discipline, and a well-maintained setup. The activity simulated a real-world marketplace where 10 teams of cadets set up food stalls, offering a variety of items. Teams were responsible for procuring, preparing, and selling food, ensuring a hands-on learning experience in business and management. The participating team was well structured & the students followed strict hygiene protocols, wore gloves while handling food. Dustbins were placed strategically to maintain cleanliness. Proper discipline was ensured throughout the event, with cadets managing their stalls efficiently and responsibly.

The Khari Kamai activity was a resounding success, fostering entrepreneurial skills, teamwork, and responsibility among students. The well-coordinated efforts of all participants contributed to the smooth execution of the event, making it an enriching and enjoyable learning experience. Such activities help to nurture future leaders and responsible citizens.

RFSNEM organized a Farewell ceremony for the Class XII Science and Commerce students on 3rd February 2025. It was an emotional and memorable event which was marked by a warm send-off for the outgoing batch hosted by Class XI Science & Commerce. The event commenced with a welcome address by the Students of Class XI. This was followed by an inspiring speech by the class teachers, reminiscing about the students' growth, achievements, and contributions to the school. The Principal addressed the students & congratulated them on their journey and wished them success in their future endeavors. TB Elimination Campaign

RFSNEM conducted the TB Elimination Campaign from 28th January to 1st February 2025 with a series of engaging activities aimed at spreading awareness about tuberculosis (TB) and promoting health consciousness among students. The event was organized in alignment with CBSE’s national vision of a TB-free India and emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of the disease. Special Assembly was conducted for the students to become aware about the role of nutrition and hygiene in preventing TB, the importance of timely medical intervention & Government initiatives like the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP). A quiz was conducted to educate students about TB, its transmission, symptoms, and available treatments. The interactive session enhanced students’ knowledge and encouraged them to become health ambassadors in their communities.

Students enthusiastically penned impactful slogans to spread awareness about TB prevention and treatment on the first day of the campaign.

RFSNEM celebrated the Annual Sports Day for Classes LKG to II on 1st February 2025 with great enthusiasm and energy. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among our young learners. A variety of fun-filled and skill-based races were organized, including the 50m Running Race, 30mHurdle Race & Pack your Bag Race. The young participants displayed remarkable zeal and determination, cheered on by their classmates and teachers. The atmosphere was electrified with enthusiastic cheers and applause, encouraging every child to do their best. Medals and certificates were awarded to the winners by the Principal & Vice Principal, acknowledging their efforts and sportsmanship. Through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, young learners gained essential life skills and physical benefits. It also boosted their confidence. Children learnt to celebrate wins and accept losses gracefully. RFSNEM celebrated 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm on 26th January 2025. The honourable Chief Guest Shri Shashank Goel, President, RIL-NMD & SMC Chairman unfurled our National Flag, followed by Salute, Oath & National Anthem. Shri Gautam Mukherjee, HR-Head, RIL-NMD accompanied the Chief Guest during the ceremonial function of Republic Day. The highlight of the day was the Inspection of the parade by the Chief Guest. NCC Cadets, Scouts & Guides presented their contingents in perfect formation with pride and discipline. The Chief Guest, accompanied by the Principal, inspected the parade and appreciated the dedication and precision displayed by the young cadets. Following the inspection, the March Past began, led by the NCC Cadet Sergeant Saee Rokade from Mah 1 Girls Battalion. The contingents, dressed in vibrant uniforms, marched in synchronization to the beat of the school band. The impeccable coordination and enthusiasm of the students were a testament to their hard work and commitment.

The enthusiasm and active participation of the students and staff made the Republic Day celebration a grand success, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and unity among   all present.

Birla School, Kalyan  and Poonam Thakur, Principal of Podar International School, Mira Road facilitated the sessions, sharing valuable insights and strategies to enhance classroom dynamics and effective teaching practices.

The workshop focused on empowering educators with modern techniques to manage diverse classrooms efficiently while stimulating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teachers actively participated in interactive sessions, group discussions, and case studies, gaining practical tools to apply in their teaching methodologies.

Annual Sports & Athletic Meet 2024.

The Annual Sports and Athletic Meet for the AY:2024-25 was held on 21st December 2024 with great enthusiasm and vigour. The event commenced at with the ceremonial welcome of the Chief Guest, Shri Shashank Goel, by the School Principal & NCC Squad.

The event officially began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, members of the School Management Committee (SMC), School Principal and sports teachers. This was followed by an engaging interaction between the Chief Guest, the SMC Chairman, and the esteemed Students' Council.

The Chief Guest then inspected the house platoons and the March Past, showcasing the discipline and coordination of the students. A formal welcome was extended to the Chief Guest and SMC members with floral bouquets.

The event featured spectacular drills performed by the students, including yoga, a colourful formation with dupattas, the umbrella drill, and aerobics with pompoms, which enthralled the audience.

The highlight of the day was the felicitation of 23 students who excelled in sports at the taluka, district, Mumbai division, and state levels, marking their remarkable achievements throughout the year.

The Chief Guest hoisted the Sports Flag, followed by the Principal administering the sports oath to the students. The ceremonial lighting of the torch set the stage for the official declaration of the Sports Meet.

In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students and staff, commending their dedication and hard work in organizing the event.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Sports Vice Captain, bringing the day to a close with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

After the inauguration function, the students participated in various track & field events. Simultaneously, they were awarded with medals and certificate.

And finally, a retreat ceremony was held, and the school sports flag was lowered by the principal and handed to the sports teachers.

Overall, it was a resounding successful event, showcasing the teamwork, determination & sportsmanship of our students.

RFSNEM celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm in the school assembly hall. The event was organized by the students of Eagle House under the guidance of their house in-charge and teachers.

The school foyer was beautifully decorated by the students of Eagle House, creating a festive ambience filled with the spirit of Christmas. The celebration began with a captivating video presentation by the students, depicting the birth of Christ and spreading the meaningful message of love, peace, and hope associated with Christmas.

The children added to the festive mood by singing melodious Christmas carols, spreading cheer and joy among everyone present. A highlight of the event was the entry of Santa Claus, who delighted the children by distributing sweets and spreading smiles.

The program concluded with the school Principal, appreciating the efforts and creativity of the students. The celebration left everyone with lasting memories and reinforced the values of togetherness and kindness that Christmas embodies.

RFSNEM got an opportunity for hosting a motivational talk by the renowned Nuclear Scientist and Science Communicator, Dr. A.P. Jayraman. Two sessions were conducted for the students and the teachers, all eager to gain insights from Dr. Jayraman’s extensive knowledge and experiences in the field of science and innovation. The talk on "Net Zero & the Circular Economy" was an eye-opening and engaging experience for all attendees. It encouraged the students to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and contribute to creating an eco-friendly community.

The "IGNITE STEAM PASSION" workshop was an enlightening experience, inspiring teachers and leaders to transform classrooms into hubs of innovation and creativity. The session addressed the role of school leaders in creating an environment that promotes innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking. The teachers were motivated to use nature-inspired patterns to teach mathematical concepts (Fibonacci sequence, golden ratio) & encourage students to observe and analyze patterns in their surroundings. The session focused on empowering teachers to integrate STEAM vision into their teaching practices to enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary learning. By exploring these topics, the session aimed to cultivate curiosity, innovation, and scientific literacy among learners. By empowering educators, the session laid the foundation for a robust STEAM education framework at RFSNEM.

RFSNEM organized a visit to Prerna Matimand Mulanchi Shala at Roha on account of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) & to sensitize the students about special children. The visit aimed at stimulating empathy, understanding, and awareness about the challenges and achievements of individuals with special needs while celebrating their unique abilities. The students of Class IX visited the school along with the teachers. Our students interacted, involved and got engaged with the children at Prerna Matimand Shala through various interactive activities such as singing, storytelling, and games. These activities were designed to build a connection and promote inclusivity. The students of Prerna Matimand Shala performed a heartwarming dance presentation, showcasing their talents and spirit. This was followed by a collaborative activity where both schools participated in flower-making activity. A practical approach to sign language contributed to the students’ hands-on learning experience.

The visit was a memorable and enriching experience & strengthened the bond between RFSNEM and CwSN schools and highlighted the importance of empathy, collaboration, and skill-sharing. Our students were enriched  with valuable life lessons and a deeper appreciation for diversity and inclusion.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

RFSNEM observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) with great enthusiasm and a commitment to promote inclusivity, to raise awareness about disabilities and sensitize students from Classes 5 to 9 about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and the importance of supporting them. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of empowering children with disabilities and ensuring equality in opportunities and accessibility.

The program commenced with a special assembly where students were made aware of the significance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The session highlighted the need for awareness, inclusion, and empathy towards Children with Special Needs (CwSN). Various activities like One-Handed Balloon Challenge, Blindfold Sensory Recognition, Memory Games & Quiz on Disability and Inclusive Education were conducted which emphasized embracing diversity and supporting peers with disabilities.  Students actively participated and expressed their thoughts, nurturing a more inclusive and supportive school environment.

The event concluded with a pledge to implement inclusive practices in their daily interactions, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in building an inclusive society.

Parichay-NEP 2020 Exhibition was organised on 30th November 2024 with great zeal, enthusiasm and mass participation. The purpose was to explore and exhibit the principles and initiatives of NEP 2020 through innovative and creative student-driven projects. The exhibition reflected NEP's emphasis on art integration in education. Artworks and installations depicting the essence of Maharashtra's culture and history were prominently displayed by the Preprimary & primary section. Innovative working models were displayed by the students of the Secondary section. The students illustrated practical applications of science and technology concepts. Topics included renewable energy, sustainable development & robotics promoting STEM learning. The students presented award-winning projects developed under the INSPIRE scheme, encouraging innovation and problem-solving skills. Models prepared by the students addressed real-world challenges, aligning with NEP’s focus on experiential learning. The primary section celebrated Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage by presenting folk dance on the floor & by displaying the included traditional attire, artifacts, and informative presentations on the state’s history and traditions. Students of Classes III to VIII showcased creativity through salad decoration, promoting the importance of nutrition and wellness. The students creatively used natural ingredients to design artistic platters, emphasizing health education. A well-received skit highlighted the transformative aspects of NEP 2020.

Students acted out the impact of reforms such as 5+3+3+4 pattern, multilingual education, vocational training, and inclusivity & created awareness about NEP 2020. The exhibition inspired teachers, students, and parents to embrace the principles of NEP 2020, encouraging a shift towards a more student-centric and skills-oriented education system.

Overall, it was a resounding success in showcasing the school’s initiatives to transform education in line with the policy’s objectives. It reaffirmed the school's commitment to providing a futuristic, inclusive, and holistic learning environment that empowers students to excel in a rapidly evolving world.

It aimed at raising awareness among students about the importance of road safety. The event was part of the school's ongoing efforts to instill responsible behavior and educate students on the significance of following traffic rules.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes IX to XII, who delivered compelling speeches on topics related to traffic safety, road signs, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, and the impact of reckless driving. The participants showcased their public speaking skills and highlighted the critical role of adhering to traffic rules in preventing accidents and ensuring public safety.

She also interacted with the students in a lively Q&A session, where she addressed their queries about career choices, higher studies, and personal growth. Hindi Pakhwada was organized & efforts were made to learn, understand & create interest in Hindi language among the students. The significance of Hindi Diwas and meaning of the word pakhwada was shared with the students. The development Journey of Hindi Language through PPT presentation was also shown to the students. Information of various Hindi authors was displayed on the boards in the corridors for creating awareness about them. A Quiz was conducted for the students of classes VI to VIII. The aim of celebrating Hindi Diwas was achieved which was to create awareness about the importance of Hindi language in its role of creating unity in the nation.

A special assembly was held to start off the day's activities. The students' council delivered a warm welcome speech, expressing gratitude towards the teachers and sharing personal anecdotes about how teachers have positively influenced their lives. The music choir presented songs dedicated to teachers like “Thank You, Teacher”. Then students of Eagles' house performed choreographed dances, including a tribute dance highlighting the theme “Inspiration and Guidance.” A group of students of classes VI to X performed a humorous skit titled “A Day in the Life of a Teacher,” which depicted the daily challenges and triumphs of teaching. The skit was well-received and brought smiles and laughter on the faces of the audience. It was a memorable and heartfelt event. The day's activities successfully highlighted the important role of teachers in shaping the lives of students and creating an environment of respect and appreciation.The award ceremony was conducted to recognize the outstanding contributions of teachers. The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration took place at RFSNEM on 4th September 2024.It was a vibrant and joyous occasion that brought together students and teachers to celebrate this important festival. The event aimed to promote cultural values and a sense of community among participants. It included a diverse range of activities such as a skit on eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi, a dance performance, aarti, and bhajans, which highlighted the spirit of devotion, cultural awareness, and environmental responsibility. The Kites hosted the event successfully. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking skit on ecofriendly celebrations. It conveyed a powerful message about the harmful effects of using plaster of Paris idols and non-biodegradable materials, which contribute to water pollution after immersion. Following the skit, a dance performance was presented by the kites, which captured the joyous spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi. The dancers, adorned in traditional attire, made a mark with their synchronized movements and expressions, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere of devotion and festivity. This was followed by a melodious bhajan where everyone participated wholeheartedly. The celebration showcased the cultural richness of the festival while also spreading a message of sustainability and community involvement.

Janmashtami, the joyous festival marking the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at RFSNEM on 26th August 2024. The entire school participated in cultural and devotional activities that showcased the significance of the festival and highlighted the playful and divine aspects of Lord Krishna’s life. The significance was given by the students of Falcons house about Janmashtami celebration & Lord Krishna who is revered as the eighth avatar of Vishnu, symbolizing love, wisdom, and righteousness. Vibrant performances were delivered by the Falcons house, beginning with a traditional dance drama depicting various scenes from Lord Krishna’s life, including his playful childhood (Bal Krishna), his youthful adventures with the Gopis, and his victory over evil forces like Kansa. It was followed by a soulful musical performance by the Falcons where they presented a popular devotional song in praise of Lord Krishna. The melodious tunes, accompanied by harmonium and tabla, filled the air with devotion and reverence. In the closing remarks, the principal reiterated the importance of imbibing Krishna’s values in our daily lives and encouraged everyone to follow the path of truth, love, and devotion.

RFSNEM conducted ‘Drishti Art & Essay Writing Competition’ as part of the ongoing culture of Reliance Foundation to develop creativity and critical thinking among students. The competition aimed to provide a platform for students to express their artistic talents and writing skills, promoting both artistic and intellectual growth. The art & essay competition was centered around the theme “India, My Heart My Home.” Students from classes 1 to 6 participated, creating artworks that reflected their interpretations of the future through various mediums such as drawing & painting. The essay competition featured the same theme & Students from classes 7 to 11 submitted essays that explored the impact of youth on national development and societal progress. It was a resounding success. The event highlighted the students' creativity and intellectual capabilities, creating an environment that values artistic and literary excellence & nurtures the holistic development of students.

Hawks house organized the celebration of Raksha Bandhan for students on 19th August 2024. The significance of the day was shared by the students followed by a skit showing a brother tying a rakhi to his sister who was an army officer which was a bit different from the tradition followed. The students presented songs on the theme of Rakshabandhan & Narali Pournima. The Hawks students presented a dance performance on Narali Pournima in koli costumes. They also made eco-friendly rakhi  and shared its significance which was the highlight of the celebration on this auspicious day. The students took pledge to protect their sisters from all evils & provide help to the needy ones.

RFSNEM celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

The school premises were adorned with tricolor decorations, including flags, buntings, and flowers. The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony at 7:30 am. The National Flag was hoisted by the honourable Chief Guest- Site President of RIL, NMD, Shri Shashank Goel followed by the singing of the national anthem. The Chief Guest inspected the contingents of NCC 1 Mah Battalion of Boys & Girls and Scouts & Guides & shared words of inspiration with them & urged students to contribute positively to the nation’s growth and uphold the values of freedom and democracy. The ceremony was attended by all students, teachers, and staff members, creating a solemn and respectful start to the day.

On the eve of Independence Day, a cultural programme was organised in BGRB in collaboration with RIL, NMD. Students participated in cultural program by singing patriotic songs & presenting dance performances. Sweets were distributed as a token of love & affection to the students. The event not only honored the legacy of India’s freedom fighters but also reinforced the values of patriotism and national unity among students. The activities were thoughtfully planned and executed, ensuring that the celebration was both educational and enjoyable. The positive aim of such events is in creating a sense of national pride and community spirit.

The Guru Pournima was celebrated at RFSNEM honoring the revered tradition of Guru-Shishya and paying homage to the esteemed Gurus who have enlightened and guided us.  The celebration began with a traditional puja, invoking blessings from the Gurus. The Kites eloquently explained the significance of Guru Pournima, highlighting it as a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to the Gurus who impart wisdom and guidance. A soulful devotional song was performed by the students under the guidance of Music Madam. The melodious rendition captivated the audience, creating an atmosphere of devotion and respect. A mesmerizing dance performance by the Kites, depicting the sacred Guru-Shishya relationship was a visual treat, showcasing the devotion and dedication of the disciples towards their Gurus. Alternatively, a well-crafted PPT presentation on the Guru-Shishya parampara was shown, featuring famous Guru-Shishya pairs from history and their inspiring stories along with a quiz on the Gurus, their teachings & their Shishyas. The presentation was both educational and inspiring, emphasizing the timeless bond between the teacher and the student. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the higher authorities & the audience present in the hall.

On 28th July 2024, Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated at RFSNEM with great enthusiasm. The event saw active participation from 50 Junior Division (JD) cadets of 1 Mah Boys and 50 Junior Wing (JW) cadets of 1 Mah Girls battalion. The celebration included documentary screening on the Kargil War to educate and inspire the cadets about the valor and sacrifice of Indian soldiers. The next activity conducted was model creation where the Cadets created models depicting the three major operations of the Kargil War, showcasing their understanding and respect for military strategies and efforts. In the end, Tribute Ceremony was conducted to pay  tribute to the fallen heroes, by lighting candles, honoring their bravery and commemorating their contribution to the nation's victory in the Kargil conflict.

RFSNEM Celebrated of “Shiksha Saptah” from 22nd to 28th July, 2024 on the eve of 4 th anniversary of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 under the guidelines of CBSE.

It was celebrated with an aim to emphasize the importance of education and learning. It included activities such as workshops, competitions, guest lectures, cultural programs & CSR activities & tree plantation drive to enhance students' educational experience. Series of events were designed to engage students, teachers, and the community in meaningful educational activities. Workshops helped the students to get exposure to new ideas and skills which can be implemented to come up with creative art. Cultural Programs presented by the students of classes VI to VIII showcased the diverse cultural heritage of India and encouraged the nonparticipants to appreciate and participate in cultural activities. Quiz Competition on various current topics was conducted to have a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork & to create general awareness among the students. On the Nutritional Day celebration, Eco club was formed to nurture environmental sustainability which will enable the school to create future environmentalists. The exhibition was organised to display students’ projects, art, and science exhibitions to encourage creativity and innovation. Students also participated in CSR activities to create awareness about benefits of rich nutritional food & clean hygienic habits to be fit & healthy. Such activities instill a sense of social responsibility among the students. Thus the purpose of the event to create awareness about Educational benefits was served.

The "Let’s Move India" campaign was observed at RFSNEM from 24th June to 29th June 2024 with an aim to leverage the excitement around the upcoming ‘Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games’ & to create awareness and enthusiasm among students about the event, its values, and the importance of sports and physical fitness. Various activities were conducted during the campaign week like Special Pledge in Morning Assembly for the students to gain a deeper understanding of the Olympics, its history, and its global significance. Art Workshops were organized to enable the students to gain insights about the posters, drawings, and other artworks related to the Olympics at Paris 2024. To capture the enthusiasm and spirit of the Olympics, students were encouraged to record video messages expressing their thoughts and aspirations related to sports and the Games. Athlete Tribute competitions were organized to encourage students to learn from the inspirational journeys of athletes and appreciate their dedication to excellence. Traditional Sports games were promoted amongst the students to know the cultural diversity and encourage students to explore sports beyond the mainstream, nurture a deeper appreciation for global athletic traditions. This event was a testament to the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and cultural diversity celebrated by the Olympic Games. Through a variety of engaging activities and initiatives, students were inspired to embrace the values of the Olympics and strive for personal excellence in sports and embody the principles of respect, teamwork, and determination.

International Yoga Day.

International Yoga Day is observed every year on 21st June to raise awareness about this ancient practice and celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. This year RFSNEM celebrated 10th International Yoga Day (IYD) with great enthusiasm in morning assembly on 21st June 2024. The celebration began by taking the oath for a healthy life & sharing significance of IYD 2024 & its theme for the year 2024- ‘“Yoga for Self and Society.” Yoga expert instructors guided the students to perform various sitting, standing & sleeping asanas like Bhujangasana, Padmasana,  Parshvottanasana, Tadasana, Surya Namaskar, Sarvangasana & Parvatasana etc.The benefits of the postures were narrated by one of the students as other students performed the asanas along with the instructions. etc. The event concluded with the prayer-Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. After morning assembly, various competitions like- Quiz, Poster making, Essay Writing,Class board decoration were conducted for all the students of classes III to X to build their inner strength and confidence that is a path of Yoga. Yoga Workshop & Seminar were conducted by the P.E. instructors where the students became aware of the importance of Yoga for a healthy life. They also learnt various asanas with their names & the correct way to do it. The celebration concluded with some breathing techniques and the students were encouraged to practice regular yoga to remain fit as they showcased a very energetic and spirited performance. The students were delighted to be a part of the celebration which ended with a note "May the practice of yoga bring joy, health, and enlightenment to your life.’’

Cyber Security & Asset Session was organized for staff of RFSNEM by IT Department of RIL-NMD on 13th June 2024. The resource persons were Shri Chetan Joshi, Shri Ratnesh Chaurasiya & Shri Kaushik Palit from IT Dept. of RIL-NMD. They conducted the session to raise awareness and educate the staff about the risks associated with cybercrime and the measures that can be taken to prevent such activities. The session’s aim was to educate participants about the importance of cybersecurity and how it can be used to protect sensitive data and information. Overall, it was a prerequisite program to make the teachers aware of the online threats which are being faced due to the increase in time spent on the internet. They also learnt about the latest tools and techniques used by ethical hackers to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. Information regarding the precautionary measures regarding the use of laptops was given to the teachers. Armed with the knowledge and skills gained from the session, the staff gained greater confidence in their ability to protect themselves and their organizations from cyber threats.

Annual Social Gathering, the most auspicious & awaited event of the year was celebrated on 21st & 22nd of December 2023 in RFSNEM. This grand event provided the students a platform to showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements with great vigour and energy. 

The first day of the event was for the Juniors and was graced by Smt. Seema Goel, President, Ladies Club, RIL-NMD, as the Chief Guest & the Guest of Honour, Shri Shashank Goel, RIL-NMD President, SMC Chairman. The event began with lamp lighting followed with Mantra and Ganesh Vandana & welcome song for the invitees & audience. The tiny tots gave their teachers the moment of pride to cherish with their excellent performances. In the second phase of the event, The Academic Achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest in the company of their parents. The Guest of Honour addressed the students with words of inspiration and motivation to boost the morale of the performers. It was followed by the creative performances of the students of classes IV & V. The performances were a treat to watch and left everyone spellbound. The anchoring of the event was taken care entirely by the students. It was a moment of pride for RFSNEM and parents to see their students perform flawlessly & confidently.

The 2nd day of the event was for the Seniors. The Chief Guest, Shri Shashank Goel, RIL-NMD President, SMC Chairman, Madam Seema Goel, President, Ladies Club, RIL-NMD, Ms. Sarla Patankar & Mr. Sachin Sharma, Members of Reliance Foundation Academic Council graced the momentous occasion. The evening began with lamp lighting, Mantra, Saraswati Vandana and Welcome song. Students presented their creativity & skills in the form of skits, songs and dances, maintaining the smooth flow of the event and with the jaw-dropping display of their talents. In the second phase of the event, The Academic Achievers were felicitated by the Chief Guest in the company of their parents. The entire event was anchored by the students. The Chief Guest in his address, appreciated the efforts of the Students and congratulated all for putting up a great show. In her address, Ms. Sarla Patankar, Member, RFSAC appreciated the efforts of the students and lauded the performances which were a kaleidoscope of social, cultural and moral values well integrated with technology.

The cultural performances were presented with a mission to ignite the fire among the students to perform well in different areas for their holistic development. Mythology, Cultural Tradition, Literature, Scientific Developments, Humour and Women Empowerment were all covered with grace in the two days event which was conceptualized by the Principal, Shri Anop Shukla.

The event was more than just a celebration. It was also the time to present the status of the goals, mission and vision of the school. The Annual Report which reflects the happenings & achievements of the school was excellently presented by the Vice Principal, Smt. Shampa Sarkar under the guidance of the Principal Sir. The report meticulously showcased the fabulous achievement of the school of being ranked as the Number ONE CBSE School in India in Co-curricular Education by Education Today for the academic year 2023-24.

The entire show was an amalgamation of the efforts of the entire RFSNEM fraternity.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas, a fun filled festival, was celebrated in RFSNEM on 18th December 2023 with great delight and happiness. The school was beautifully decorated with festoons & Xmas Tree with gifts wrapped around it. The Hawk house students shared the significance of the festival & presented a harmonious story on the life of Jesus Christ right from Mother Mary’s conception to the birth of Jesus with a PPT. The students presented dance performances to the melodious tunes of ‘Christmas Carols’ and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas. The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students.  To inculcate good values among the students, the day was enlivened with the ‘joy of sharing happiness’ act, wherein the students gifted Christmas cards to the teachers and sweets to the students.  The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the students. It was a joyous and cherishable moment for everyone.

The purpose of the celebration was to promote awareness for efficient energy use among the students and raise awareness, foster action for sustainable energy consumption and preservation.   The theme of the session conducted was ‘Efficient Energy: Preserve, Conserve, Sustain-Our Shared Responsibility’. The students actively participated in the awareness session & also participated in Crossword Puzzle organised for them. The ultimate objective of the session regarding energy conservation was to achieve sustainable energy usage awareness which was successfully served.

NCC cadets of 1 Maharashtra Girls battalion and 1 Maharashtra Boys Battalion, organized   Vijay Diwas celebration in RFSNEM to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in 1971. Various heart-throbbing activities were organized on this auspicious occasion. A poster-making competition allowed cadets to showcase their artistic skills, portraying patriotic themes. Energetic dance performances depicted the life of soldiers, highlighting their courage and sacrifice. In addition, a documentary focusing on the Indo-Pak war was presented, providing insightful perspectives on historical events. The candle lighting was a special moment to show respect for our brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our nation. The multifaceted activities aimed to instil deeper appreciation for our nation's history and the valour of our armed forces among the students.

RFSNEM celebrated Nobel Week from 7th December 2023 to 12th December 2023 to commemorate the death anniversary of Alfred Nobel, the Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor, and businessman who created the Nobel Prize, and to generate awareness among the students about the Nobel Prize and its significance. The teachers presented Nobel Prize lessons in the respective Classes. A Quiz Competition on the theme of Nobel Prize was conducted in classes VI to XII. Soft Boards of all classes were decorated on the theme- Nobel prize winner scientists and their contributions to the world. Poster-Making Competition on the theme Future Science and Technology in India was conducted for classes VI to XII.

 It gave an opportunity to the students to get acquainted with some of the most important discoveries and achievements in science, literature, and foreign relations and be aware of the contributions of Nobel winners for the betterment of the world. Subsequently, it helped to create a unique and engaging learning experience and to develop scientific fervour among the students.

NCC Girls:

Cadet Sanchita Maruti Adhav, after successfully completing Pre RDC (Republic Day Camp) I and II, had the honour of being selected for the prestigious Pre RDC-III NCC Camp at the Artillery Centre in Nashik. The 10-day camp offered a unique and enriching experience for all participants.

Passing Out Parade: Cadets had the opportunity to witness a Passing Out Parade, where a batch of recruits from the artillery unit completed a demanding 42-week training regimen. This event showcased the discipline, precision, and dedication of the recruits.

Training on INSAS Rifle: ANO Third Officer Sweta, along with six other Associate NCC Officers (ANO) and Care Taking Officers (CTO), participated in training sessions focused on the Indian Small Arm System (INSAS) Rifle. The training included practical firing exercises.

NCC Boys:

46 Cadets of NCC Boys 2nd Year went for their required training at Artillery Camp, Nashik from 16/09/2023 to 25/09/2023 guided by CTO Shuvabrata Singha. Throughout the camp, Cadets were given theoretical and practical classes. Based on the lessons, they were assessed. Two cadets were in top three. Cadet Aditya Bothare and Cadet Arnav Aher cemented their position at 2nd & 3rd place respectively.

‘Vachan Prerna Divas’ (Inspire to Read Day) was observed for two consecutive days on 8th & 9th of October 2023 due to examinations beginning from 11th October 2023 to commemorate the birth anniversary of our former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s which falls on October 15 and is observed as Vachan Prerna Divas throughout the country. The school library was set up with APJ Abdul Kalam’s books displayed on the reading table for the students to gather & discuss books, writers and literary works. This helped to inculcate and develop the habit of reading among students & create a love for books.

RFSNEM participated in the two-day event of Inter RFS MUN 2023, the third Inter-school Model United Nations Conference organised by RFSKK. The event began on Friday, 06 October 2023 and winded up on Saturday, 07 October 2023. Twelve students of RFSNEM participated as delegates of specific countries in four different committees of MUN Conference 2023. The committees were HCC, WHO, UNSC & UNHRC with two students in each committee. DAV MUN 2023

RFSNEM participated in the two-day event of DAV MUN 2023(Western Zone), the second Inter-school Model United Nations Conference. The event began on Friday, 06 October 2023 and winded up on Saturday, 07 October 2023. Twelve students of RFSNEM participated as delegates of specific countries in six different committees of MUN Conference 2023. The committees were UNSC, UNEP, UNHRC, UNCSTD, WTO & LOKSABHA. Miss Tanishqua Janjirkar of Class IX brought laurels to the school by participating as Ms. Sonia Gandhi, a member of Opposition party in the LOKSABHA Committee and earning an award for the Most Diplomatic Delegate for the same. The entire team of twelve students raised the flag of the school high by bagging the Most Disciplined Team Award of the event. Further, the UNCSTD committee bagged the Best Committee Award in which two students- Ms. Shubhra Jadhav & Mst. Swayam Shirke were the representatives our school.

RFSNEM participated in the cleanliness drive "Swachata hi seva and Shramadan" on 1st October, 2023. In all forty-two Students Participated including Scout and Guides, NCC boys Girls and School students. The team conducted a rally to create awareness in the community. They did Shramadan for 1hr and cleaned 1200 square metre area. The event organisers were CTO Shuvabrata Singha & Guide Captain Dr. Pragati Kolhe who took the initiative to accomplish the set target by their team.

Janmashtami Celebration

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at RFSNEM on 6th September 2023, with lot of enthusiasm and joy. It is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. The celebration began by offering homage full of devotion to Lord Krishna through aarti & bhajan.   The students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha & performed dance dramas depicting the life of Lord Krishna followed by song & dance performances. The teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagwat Geeta were shared with the students through PPT presentations. Dahi Handi was broken by the students to grace the auspicious occasion. The Principal applauded the presentations of the students and asked them to follow the teachings of Geeta & spread peace & harmony in the society. The day was a delightful divine journey for the students.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September 2023 with great enthusiasm and fun-filled activities in Reliance Foundation School, Nagothane. The students presented songs in praise of the teachers and their importance in shaping their future. They also conveyed their appreciation for their teachers’ guidance and support. Heartfelt messages on hand made cards were shared, creating an emotional connection that resonated with both teachers and students. The students of classes XI and XII stepped into the teacher’s shoes for a day and acted as substitute teachers in the classroom. They shared their experiences in their role as Principal, Vice Principal and teachers which fostered empathy and a deeper understanding of the dedication required to educate and nurture young minds. SMC Chairman and RIL-NMD President Shri Shashank Goel who was invited for the event, applauded and awarded the exceptional teachers with trophies and mementos as a token of love and appreciation. Also, the teachers were awarded for their long service of 25 years with dedication and hard work in the institution. A luncheon was hosted by the institution to make the teachers feel special. It was a day when the entire  school paid tribute to its teachers. This day served as a reminder that teachers are not just disseminators of knowledge but mentors who leave an indelible mark on the lives of their students.

RFSNEM celebrated Raksha Bandhan & Narali Purnima on 29th August 2023. Narali Purnima is celebrated on the same day as Raksha Bandhan and thus it was double cause of celebration for Falcons to show their enthusiasm. Narali Purnima is an important festival celebrated primarily in Maharashtra and Konkan region by fishermen community. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated to depict the unbreakable bond between the brother & sister. Significance of both the festivals were given by the students followed by song & dance performances. They narrated mythological story about the cause of Raksha Bandhan celebration to make the students aware of the reason for its celebration. The day was filled with mirth & joy for the students.

RFSNEM observed National Sports Day on 29th August 2023 to celebrate the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand and also to create awareness regarding the need and the benefits of incorporating sports and physical activities in our day-to-day life. The students of all houses shared the significance of the celebration of National Sports day.  To inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship & teamwork among students, various indoor & outdoor events like Chess, Carrom, Running & Football matches were organised. Inter house Quiz was conducted to inclucate the competitive spirit among the students. The Principal Shri. Anop Shukla Sir elaborated upon the importance of sports and extracurricular activities in the lives of students as they embark on their path of holistic development. He appreciated the sense of competition instilled in the students and encouraged them to pursue their goals with similar diligence and perseverance. He urged them to “keep trying” and wished them good luck for their future endeavours.

 RFSNEM celebrated 77th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor & enthusiasm. Shri Shashank Goel, the Site President of RIL-NMD was the honourable Chief Guest  for the occasion and hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National song sung by the students.

 The Chief Guest inspected the contingents of NCC 1 Mah Battalion of Boys & Girls and Scouts & Guides & shared words of inspiration with them. As a part of the "Meri Mitti Mera Desh" activity, cadets took the solemn "Panch Pran pledge." This pledge underscores their dedication to the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism.

 On the eve of Independence Day, a cultural programme was organised in BGRB in collaboration with RIL-NMD. Students participated in cultural program by singing patriotic songs & presenting dance performances. RFSNEM conducted Sketch Making activity of the freedom fighters to show their gratitude towards them whose selfless sacrifices and unparalleled contributions brought us freedom. Sweets were distributed as token of affection to the students.

The main aim of celebrating the Independence Day is to celebrate its history, significance & importance with the students to inculcate the spirit and fervor of patriotism among the students.

CBP by CBSE, RO-Pune – NEP 2020

RFSNEM hosted CBSE Training session for all the staff on 12th August 2023 on the topic ‘Implementation of NEP-2020’. The resource persons were Mr Rajeev Garg,Principal – Datta Meghe World Academy, Airoli & Dr. Mrs. Rashmirekha Saha,Principal – Lodha World School, Dombivli. The teachers from J.M. Rathi School, MDN Future School & Gregorian School also attended the session along with the teachers of RFSNEM. The focus of the session  was on the large number of stage-by-stage curricular goals & illustrated learning outcomes & providing a clear roadmap for substantially raising teaching learning standards in education system. More emphasis was on the aims & objectives of learning assessment under the new 5+3+3+4 curricular & pedagogical structure of school education - Foundational stage, Preparatory stage, Middle stage & Secondary stage. They also specified need for the assessment tests alignment with curricular goals & competencies set out in for all the stages in NEP-2020 to gracefully shift from rote memorisation skills to analytical & critical thinking skills. They even stressed on the pedagogical considerations for physical development, emotional development, social & ethical development & cognitive development of the children & importance of teacher training which is critical & pivotal for implementation of the new curricular of NEP-2020.

Total 60 participants attended the session. The session ended with Q & A series & a note of appreciation for the well conduct of the session.

International Yoga Day (IYD) Celebration.

Ninth IYD was celebrated in RFSNEM with great enthusiasm in the morning assembly on 21st June 2023. The celebration began with sharing significance of IYD 2023 & its theme for the year 2023- ‘Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (One Earth, One Family & One Future). It was followed by chanting of “Om” & Shlokas. The students were instructed & guided to do warmup exercises before performing the various asanas like Bhujangasana, Tadasana, Padmasana, etc. The event concluded with the prayer-Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. After morning assembly, various competitions like- Quiz, Poster making, Slogan Writing, Class board decoration were conducted for all the students of classes V to XII for their holistic development which is a path of Yoga. The students were delighted to be a part of the celebration which ended with a message for the students - “Yoga is light, which once lit will never dim. The more you practice, the brighter the flame.”

Tree Plantation Drive was organised by RFSNEM for the Scouts & Guides of class X. The students took the pledge to nurture the trees & increase their number. They also shared the significance of Tree Plantation, prepared slogans & posters based on the theme ‘Plant a tree & stay young’. Under the guidance of School leadership team, Saplings were planted in school premises to spread awareness about the same.

RFSNEM organised an awareness & informative program on G20 Presidency by India. Various events were organized in the school campus. The students of class X visited the middle section classes & delivered the significance of G20 & its working. Drawing Competition & Quiz was organized for the students of classes 8th, 9th & 10th. The aim was to create awareness among the students regarding the importance G20 for the economic development of the country. India's presidency will be a significant milestone as it seeks to embody the idea of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," or "the world is one family."

International Year of Millet-2023 was celebrated in RFSNEM on 16th June 2023 with great vigour to create awareness about production & consumption of millets. 23 NCC Cadets of RFSNEM participated in the event. They presented a PPT on the importance of millets in our diet to create awareness about millets, participated in Poster making activity & Food festival. 22 different dishes of millets were prepared by the cadets to create awareness about the nutritive value of millets and to promote their inclusion in dietary habits.

RFSNEM conducted In-house PD session for all the staff members from 12th June, 2023 to 14th June, 2023. The topics covered were related to the theme & overall development of the students & the staff. The entire focus was on adopting NEP 2020,  enhancing critical thinking & creativity among the students & catering to the needs of the children aligned to the NEP. Alongside the main theme, a session on sensitization/ awareness on Autism/ASD was conducted for early detection of CWSN to empower teachers to facilitate such children and help to lay the foundation that will improve the quality of their and offer greater opportunities. Special highlights were on finding the learning gaps & bridging them for effective learning outcomes.

At the end of the session, Principal acknowledged the efforts of the staff for smooth conduct of the session & encouraged them to perform better in their classrooms & deliver positive results.

School Summer Camp.

RFSNEM initiated the School Summer Camp for the students of classes VI to VIII from 2nd May to 6th May 2023 to develop their observation & Creative skills. The main aim was to equip the students with a variety of tools and skills that will help them to become an engaged member of society. The students explored creativity and artistic approach. It also enhanced their focus and concentration and built fine motor skills & eye-hand co-ordination also. Various Art, Craft, Music & Sports activities were conducted in the camp for the students to participate according to their interest & capability. The focus of the summer camp was to develop the holistic approach & personality of the students.

NCC Training Camp for Girls.

RFSNEM was opted NCC for Girls in AY-2019-20. Since then, NCC is doing wonders is various fields. In the current AY-2023-24, Twenty-one NCC Cadets, of under 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC, Mumbai unit, attended 10 days Combined Annual Training Camp at SPDC College, Thane from 21st April to 30th April 2023.The camp was attended by 375 NCC CADETS of 21 schools and colleges, Under the command of 1 Mah Girls Bn NCC of OC, Lieutenant Colonel Sameer Singh.  During the CATC, Cadets participated in various activities on account of cultural Fest like Drill, PT, Yoga, Firing practice, Group dance, Group song & Solo Singing. They also attended various guest lectures delivered by various eminent personalities in the field of Knowledge. The Cadets passionately participated in various Cultural Competitions organised by NCC group & also brought laurels to the School by winning the competitions.

Fire Safety Week Celebration.

Fire safety Week was celebrated by RFSNEM in collaboration with Fire Service department, RIL-NMD on 19th April 2023.The members of Fire Department conducted a Fire Safety awareness session with a live demonstration in school premises on Firefighting & Fire prevention for the students of Classes VI to XII. Fire Safety awareness plays a VITAL role in saving the lives and property of people. The demonstration helps to know the preparedness of the School to combat emergencies. How to handle the fire situation with apt actions of Firefighting was known to everyone.

RFSNEM participated in RFS Interschool Athletic Championship, KDARFS JAMNAGAR on 3rd & 4th April 2023. 14 students participated in various track and field events such as - 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 4 x 100 meters relay races, shot put, discus throw, and long jump and they were accompanied by two P.E. Teachers. The students displayed team Spirit with great zeal & enthusiasm.

RFSNEM conducted In-house PD session for all the staff from 13th March, 2023 to 18th March, 2023. It was conducted with teamwork & great enthusiasm in the School assembly hall. Twenty-six topics were covered based on the requirements of all the staff. The two major components of this PD Session were “Critical Thinking” and “Creativity”. The activities of the individual session elevated the “Critical Thinking” and “Creativity” among the teachers. Apart from “Critical Thinking”, other topics like “Classroom Management”, “Class Observation”, “Career & College Counselling” and “Time Management” etc. were covered to prepare better for the coming academic session. The sessions were infused with pedagogical knowledge and fun elements. This weeklong PD Sessions came to an end with a valedictory function to boost the morale of the staff to enhance their performances in the teaching learning process. The Principal declared the first 3 best sessions of the week & honoured each one of them with certificate & a token of appreciation. While addressing the staff, he urged the teachers to enhance their thinking faculties to come up with innovative ideas to achieve their aims & objectives of the teaching-learning process. Finally, with the vote of thanks the weeklong session came to an end displaying the quote: We are each unique & beautiful but together We are a Masterpiece’.
