Poem Recitation Competition-CULRAV 2023

Taniya Balpande of class LKG received a consolation prize in the poem recitation competition at the CULRAV 2023, the Inter-School Talent Hunt Competition held at Delhi Public School, Lava Nagpur. The purpose of the celebration was to commemorate the 2023 International Year of Millets. The objective of the event was to raise awareness of millet's role in nutrition and food security. About three hundred tiny-tots from thirty CBSE schools participated in the event. Ten students from Pre-primary section took part in the competition that involved variety of contests such as the fancy dress, collage creation, poem recitations and elocutions in English.

Teaching Aid Competition

Ms Sunita Ahuja, PPRT secured a third position at the Teaching Aid Competition held for the Hub of Learning Schools at K John Public School, Nagpur. The objective of the event was to give educators a chance to assess their pedagogical skills and exchange creative ideas on a shared platform centered around experiential learning. The event involved about twenty-two teachers from four different schools, ranging in experience from elementary to secondary education.With the use of a range of instructional tools that communicated the learning objectives and outcomes, the teachers demonstrated their creative ideas through innovative teaching aids.For the teacher, it continued to be a rewarding experience since it gave her a chance to talk about her experiences with other educators of various subject areas.

Session on Emotional Well-being

Student leaders from classes IX and X participated in a seminar on Emotional Well-Being conducted by the Indian Forum of Educators (IFE) and Unaided Schools Welfare Association Nagpur (USWAN). About 100 students from 17 different schools took part in the event. Dr Surendra Das, an educationist, wellness advisor, and life coach, Nagpur and Ms Anushka Karira, Mental Health Counsellor, Nagpur guided the students as resource persons. The objective of event was to help student leaders understand and improve their emotional intelligence and handle stress. Dr Surendra Das explained the Anatomy of Emotions and referred human as an emotional creature. He familiarised the students on the types of emotions and stated the importance of positive thinking and its impact on learning, growth and achievements. He acquainted the students with the Neuropeptide Molecules of Emotions.
Ms Anushka Karira threw light on the topic teenagers’ emotional issues and building emotional resilience. She elaborated upon the somatic therapy that controls our anger and eliminates all the negative thoughts from mind. The session gave students an opportunity to learn the understand the importance of emotional intelligence, the significance of interpersonal relationship and how to handle stress. The event concluded with the chanting of Strotra.

Inter-school Teaching Aid Making Competition

Our teachers, Ms Sunita Ahuja and Ms Kalyani Thetey made the school proud by winning the runners up trophy in Inter-School Teaching Aid Making Competition held at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans, Ashti, Nagpur. The competition was organized for the Hub of Learning Schools with an objective to provide opportunity to teachers to explore their teaching aptitude and present innovative ideas. Ms Sunita Ahuja prepared her teaching aid on Puppet Theatre while Ms Kalyani Thetey designed her teaching aid on English Grammar.

Youth Games National Golden Cup-2023 (Athletics)

Sanchit Meshram and Aryan Maske both from class X bagged a Gold Medal each in Discus Throw and Shotput respectively at the Youth Games National Golden Cup 2023. The event was organised by Youth Games Federation of India (YGFI) from 13th May to 15th May 2023 at the MKCS Sports Complex, New Delhi.

Pariksha Pe Charcha -Inter-School Painting Competition

Khushi Hatwar- class IX secured 3rd position in the Pariksha Pe Charcha, 2023, an Inter-school Painting Competition. The event was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ordinance Factory, Bhandara. About 100 students from 10 different schools from the vicinity participated in the Competition. Khushi received a Certificate of merit and Gift Hamper as a prize.

All India Colouring and Handwriting Competition 2022

All India Colouring and Handwriting Competition-2022 was organized by Rainbow Art Centre. A whopping 844 student entries from the school were registered for the competition. Students made the school proud by securing 46 Gold medals, 25 Silver medals and 13 Bronze medals in this competition. The school also received the Active School Award for the maximum participation. Mr Hari Prasad Vaishnav, Principal and Ms Manjusha Sakharkar, the Art Teacher, were felicitated with Kalabhushan Award and a Gold medal each for motivating the students. All the Class Teachers and the participants received the appreciation certificates for their enthusiastic involvement in the competition.

1st Thai Boxing National Championship 2022

Arnavi Mohankar of class IX made the school proud by securing the Silver Medal in the 1st Thai Boxing National Championship 2022, held at Silver Oak Lawns, Shirdi, Ahmednagar. Various schools across 28 states of India participated in the event. Arnavi represented Maharashtra team in the U-14 category.

Tejas Dhage of class X and Tanmay Atkare of class IX bagged a Gold medal each in the National Youth Games Championship held at Delhi.Tejas Dhage stood first in Shot put and Tanmay Atkare finished first in 1500-meter Flat Race in U/17 category.

18th National Thai Boxing Federation Cup

Arnavi Mohankar of class IX won Silver Medal in U/35-36 kg category of National Thai Boxing Federation Cup. The event was organised at Panchgani, Mahableshwar. She was also the winner of Silver Medal in U/14 Maharashtra Thai Boxing State Level Championship held at Latur.

Impact 20-21 Virtual Event

Students participated in an online annual Interschool Competition IMPACT, organized at Achievers School, Nagpur. In this competition the students were given different topics on social issues in different categories wherein, the students had to influence the judges and spectators by putting an impact for taking up constructive steps for the betterment of the society. Ruhil Dangre, Yashika Vaidya of class VI, Gouri Mannikeri, Sanat Vaishnav of class VII, Shreya Bala, Akshara Tohane, Ayan Khan and Shrushti Mannikeri of class VIII received the participation certificates.

Students participated in the First Interschool Model United Nations (MUN) Virtual Conference held at Reliance Foundation School, Koper Khairane. Students deliberated on the following agenda.

1 United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)  Israel- Palestine Conflict

2. United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Discussing and Mitigating the Aftermath of COVID-19 with an Appropriate Socio-Economic Response.

Jaswini Gullapalli, Aasma  Tadavi,  Pranali Tale from class XI and  Nandini  Shahare , Varun  Godbole from class IX participated in the first agenda while Aarushi Ambilduke, Kushal Jain, Shravani Selokar, Shaurya Lende and  Bhargavi Agasti  from class IX were part of the second agenda.
